All this just a sport thing I agree no need to get worked up but watching the Astro's/Rays game knowing that the Pirates 1st overall pick and 5th round pick in the same draft were starting game 5 and the ONLY return you got back from that cluster f of deals was Chris Archer, Colin Moran and Musgrove. :L

On top of the fact they haven't won a playoff series since 1979 we are all like:

I haven't been following the Houston/Tampa series closely enough--Is there any potential for jersey burning/bobblehead decapitation or anything cool like that? I can't imagine any kind of strong reaction if the Rays lose. They seem to be doing it with smoke and mirrors and a 65 million payroll.

Plus, there are so many passionate Rays die hard fans

I really don't see the problem I think the line is crossed when there are death threats but running over a jersey really is no big deal and like someone said earlier this guy has chocked year after year in the playoffs and the Dodgers have paid him 204 million dollars since joining the team in 2006 and another 62 million over the next two seasons until his contact is up in 2021

That team/market defies all logic. They have a payroll of like 61 million

That team/market seems to defy all logic. First off, its amazing that they win 96 games with a payroll of 65 million, while playing in a division where 2 of the teams spend over 200 million. Equally amazing is that their attendance seems to have zero correlation with their won loss record. They drew 14k a game this year, which is actually less than 2 years ago when they only won 80 games.

Because Tampa started you bring your ticket to your local store and you get a free motorized scooter.

Never saw Dodgers fans get so mad about their own team at all before the end of Game 5 in the NLDS. It may be the end of their own 2010s dynasty.

You’re awful judgmental when you’ve never had to endure your baseball team choking in the playoffs every year, watch the local NFL team blow a 28-3 Super Bowl lead or the top college draw in the state get beat in the national championship game by a second and 26 play in overtime.

People in the state are hungry for a championship.

You fuckin hayseeds can cry me a God damned river.

Andrés Escobar Saldarriaga (Spanish pronunciation: [anˈðɾes eskoˈβaɾ salðari'aga]; 13 March 1967 – 2 July 1994) was a Colombian footballer who played as a defender. He played for Atlético Nacional, BSC Young Boys, and the Colombia national team.[1] Nicknamed The Gentleman, he was known for his clean style of play and calmness on the pitch.[citation needed]

Escobar was murdered in the aftermath of the 1994 FIFA World Cup, reportedly as retaliation for having scored an own goal which contributed to the team's elimination from the tournament.

Mexicans are loco, bro.

Uhhh..... insomuch as someone actually shot him, I'd say there's at least one person, dipshit.

Except that person who wanted to shoot Big Papi would probably be banned from entering Fenway Park, since Major League Baseball takes those threats against their ballplayers seriously.

Are you aware of what we're talking about?
