They ran over a jersey? Unless someone was wearing it, who cares?

Kershaw and Freddie Freeman both fell out of good graces from fan bases that loved them

What for? Did they mess up on purpose? They were/are great players you love, they have a bad day and now you hate them?

Weak.

I’ve never been a Kershaw fan, but I still love Freddie, and I think his elbow was bothering him more than he was letting on, just going by the fan base in general.

But I will say if you know you’re hurt and you have a man on third with one out that could put the game and series away, put the damn bunt down.

I would participate in a Freddie Freeman jersey ass wiping ceremony if someone would start one up.

Bad day?! It's considerably more than that.

On the upside, you have all of the off season to work on constructing your Freddie Freeman vodoo doll.

To be fair, Kershaw hasn't been great his entire post season career

Postseason: 9 wins, 11 losses, 4.33 ERA, 3.78 K/BB ratio, 7.4 H/9, 1.4 HR/9, 1.105 WHIP
Regular Season: 169 wins, 74 losses, 2.44 ERA, 157 ERA+, 4.61 K/BB ratio, 6.8 H/9, 0.7 HR/9, 2.74 FIP, 1.008 WHIP

I agree with sentiment, but at the same time, it’s easy for you to say that when your team has won 3 World Series in this decade

I felt the same way then. People get way too personally involved. I didn't shit all over the team when they booted it in 2002 either.

Had it been 18 years since your team last won a playoff series?

You’re awful judgmental when you’ve never had to endure your baseball team choking in the playoffs every year, watch the local NFL team blow a 28-3 Super Bowl lead or the top college draw in the state get beat in the national championship game by a second and 26 play in overtime.

People in the state are hungry for a championship. I’m not in the kill Freddie crowd, but I understand where the people who are are coming from.

It's amazing when people give death threats to sports figures.

Wasn't there a soccer player in South America not too long ago that got shot? Or was it a referee?

Andrés Escobar Saldarriaga (Spanish pronunciation: [anˈðɾes eskoˈβaɾ salðari'aga]; 13 March 1967 – 2 July 1994) was a Colombian footballer who played as a defender. He played for Atlético Nacional, BSC Young Boys, and the Colombia national team.[1] Nicknamed The Gentleman, he was known for his clean style of play and calmness on the pitch.[citation needed]

Escobar was murdered in the aftermath of the 1994 FIFA World Cup, reportedly as retaliation for having scored an own goal which contributed to the team's elimination from the tournament.
