This fight makes zero sense but I’m looking forward to it

It makes sense for the UFC wanting to get rid of the Flyweight division. They want Dillashaw to wreck Cejudo, then have Cejudo move up to Bantamweight, where he's probably better anyways. He's an enormous flyweight.

Still got Dillashaw in this one.

Also fighting on this card is Ariane Lipski. Her nickname is the "Violence Queen". She's been recently training with Cyborg who's been holding pads for her and her record is 11-3. I believe it's her first fight in the UFC. But here's her pics...she looks like a damn ring girl!

I think Tj is the better fighter but cutting that much weight is going to expose his cardio and chin imo. I don’t think this fight does anything for him. It continues to stall the 135 division too. 2 guys have fought for the title in 2 yrs. it’s going to be at least 2 and half yrs before anybody fights for the belt not named Tj and Garbrandt.

Yeah that's the downside to having these Champ vs. Champ fights. Stalls two divisions at a time, especially when the UFC is trying to use them to headline their PPVs.

Everything I've read is that TJ's weight cut is going really well. They said he's actually on pace to go to sleep on-weight the night before.

Also Cejudo's weight cut isn't easy either. He usually struggles really bad to make the weight. I'm not sure about the UFC fights but he missed weight a few times earlier in his career. I'd bet a lot of money that both TJ and Cejudo probably both walk at a similar weight.

It took longer to read this thread up to this point than it did for the main event. I didn't expect TJ to win after seeing him at the weigh-in (he looked way too lean. Too dehydrated) but I didn't expect that. Damn that was quick.

Hardy wanted out. He was gassed as hell and frustrated that crowder was talking to him. Either way hardy is not very good

Did he think it was stopped too soon or something? Honestly, I can see both sides. It was one of those deals where it looked like he was out for like fractions of a second but snapped back real quick. He made it look worse though by trying to stand

Said he didn’t lose and was robbed. Dana obviously agreed because his master plan to get rid of the division completely backfired. Tj flew back 5 ft from a push. The decision to move down was stupid as hell

I was excited to see what ESPN would do for their MMA broadcast. Then........Steven A. Jackson happened. WHY?!? It was blatantly obvious he knows absolutely nothing about the sport and his voice is like nails on a chalkboard.

Is he on the ESPN+ broadcast too?!? I was going to watch it on there, but I truly can’t stand that guy

Well, he did lose. Robbed? I guess its debatable on how one views the stoppage. But yeah, the cut was stupid. Like I said earlier, I didn't think he looked good at all at the weigh in.
