I really like Peralta. He's convinced me that he is legit... obviously won't keep this up, but he looks good.

Perez has been lights out. Not sure I want to trade him anymore. If we want to be competitive next year then he's a guy we should keep around with the young guys in the pen. Him, Ziegler, Marshall, Stites and Barrett with Collmenter as a long reliever which is where he's at his best.

I would look to move Reed, Parra, Hill and Cahill at this point.

And looking at Nuno's #'s he reminds me of Joe Saunders a little. Lefty with no "stuff" but kinda crafty. He has had a few quality starts, but when he gets rocked, he gets hit hard which inflates his ERA. He could benefit a lot moving for the AL East to the NL West as well.

Not holding my breath but he could be a pleasant surprise as a decent #5 starter. YAY!

Hill isn't helping his trade value with that .239 average. I'm hoping that the Dbacks can pull some decent quality prospects out of this trade deadline. The first 2 deals that they made were underwhelming.

This pretty much where I am at.

Cahill should be back up shortly. But I don't think anyone will trade for him unless he is lights out till the trade deadline. But he might get claimed after that during the waiver trade period if he pitches well.

Reed... I don't know if we should trade him or not. He is still decent & young enough that this could just be a one-off season If he just tightens up his slider & brings back his change-up, he can be a legit closer.

Parra, I love him but with Peralta & Trumbo in the mix & his hitting/base running woes, it's time to make a change.

Hill, hopefully Toronto is serious about reacquiring him & we should take some B to B+ prospects for him.

Don't insult Saunders. He is a strategic genius, a masterful tactician, and a graceful athlete. Simple minded mortals cannot comprehend his greatness. His "terrible" starts were merely ruses that masked his true potential. If he wanted to, he could win the Cy Young Award every season...for both leagues.

If you take a look at Nuno's game stats, outside of 2 games where he was blown up, he would have a low 4 era. He is nothing to write home about, but a simple change of venue might make him a serviceable SP till the young guys are ready. He couldn't be worse than McCarthy & his wonderful peripheral numbers that everyone outside of AZ raves about. xFip this & xFip that blah blah blah...

In 9 of 14 of Nuno's starts, he gave up 3 runs or less.

It's all apart of his master plan. He will come out and pitch like the dominant BIG JOE SAUNDERS that we both know soon enough and then people will realize how hilarious this guy is. He's just tricked the rest of the world into thinking he sucks this whole time. It will be the ultimate prank.

In case you missed this from last week:

Right-hander Touki Toussaint, the D-backs' first round pick in the 2014 First-Year Player Draft, made his professional debut Wednesday, throwing one inning for the rookie-level D-backs. But his career didn't begin with a victory, as the Indians won, 4-3, in Arizona League action.

Toussaint struck out three batters of the five batters he faced. He allowed one run on one hit and a walk.

Fun fact: Wade Miley is in the top 15 in the MLB in strikeouts this year and no that is not a typo.

Nuno sucks. He should fit in perfectly on this team.

Kevin Towers just had throat surgery. Wishing him a painless, but long recovery resulting in him being unable to speak for a while and forcing LaRussa to personally get on the horn and make all the trades the next few days.

I think Peralta should be our LF of the future.

Or move Parra to Center and Peralta to right when Trumbo comes back

If Peralta continues to hit, I would like to see Trumbo, Pollock, & Peralta as the starting OF for 2015. I love Parra, but on a team that seems to be offensively challenged, there is no room to carry a GG OF who can't hit & is getting expensive. Inciarte is more than good enough to be the 4th OF, change of pace guy.

Dbacks lineup 7/8

Ender Inciarte CF
Aaron Hill 2B
Paul Goldschmidt 1B
Martin Prado 3B
Cody Ross LF
Tuffy Gosewisch C
Gerardo Parra RF
Nick Ahmed SS
(Vidal Nuno P)

Ross/Gos are starting versus a LHP.

EXACTLY my thoughts too. :)

Parra is just to inconsistent and derives most of his batting average against weak pitchers and lucky blooper hits.
