Doubt Horton is coming to the metro NY area but ya never know

Horton wanted nothing to do with any big market media. He chose #8 because when your turn it sideways it means forever. He plays on staying a Jacket

When player is 37 yo, he must be happy to get $5.5 mil per yr for next 3 years. But honestly IMO it is a little too much to be given to Patty at this point. He deserves to be treated like this and it is his bonus for his past with Devils. I thought it would be max $4-4.5 mil/yr for 2 years. But it was GM's decision.

Is it a bit much for his age? Probably, but he still led our team in points last year, was one of the few plus players on the team and is still a very viable top 6 guy. The whole Devil for life thing is nice as well. I could be wrong but I believe he has great "advanced" stats for the sabermetrics guys.

I believe his corsi, which correct me if I"m wrong, MC I think you're big into these, is a better version of +/-, and Elias was near the top of the league for most of last year in that department.
