Start Moya, take him out after the 6th inning. The fewer plate appearances by Avila and Romine, the better. Tigers are going to have to come to a decision on those two soon. You cannot, IMO, keep two utility players that can't hit their weight. Get rid of one and find someone who can play a couple of positions - even if it is poorly - but can hit.
Very much agree. Can't stand looking at the potential late-inning pinch hitters and seeing both Aviles and Romine, plus a backup catcher. I think at this point of their careers, Romine is the better base stealer/base runner and better infielder. The one advantage Aviles has is he can play the outfield better (at least compared to Romine). The Tigers have enough viable outfielders, however, to cover injuries. So to me, Aviles can go.
