Statistics are not necessarily in accurate, but they don't paint the entire picture. I am not sure and statistic or group of statistics could. They cannot tell whether someone is a positive club house presence or the leadership ability of someone.

Lol at Pillar, Kiermaier, and Buxton. Buxton one day may be but he was trash last year and hasn't show the ability to hit mlb level pitching. Gardner isn't even the starting Cf you clown. He plays LF 75% of the time.

Bleacher Reports rank Gose as the 25th best center fielder in Major League Baseball and Maybin 22nd. Seems about right to me. We can argue the minutia or the methodology all day, but I'll take Trout above anyone else (the Angels are giving him away though). Trout is a modern day Mickey Mantle (early years) or Willie Mayes (most of his career).

We can argue the minutia or the methodology all day, but I'll take Trout above anyone else (the Angels are giving him away though). I am not going to sit here and say Gose is some amazing Cfer that is going to carry a team.. but he is a solid defender that gets on base versus right handed pitching well above average.

Gose isn't a top CFer... nor is a bottom CFer. He isn't even remotely a hole in the lineup vs right handers... however I would like to see him platooned with someone that can hit lefties.
