All the REALLY good scientists get just as excited with their failures as they do with their successes, because it means they've learned something. I wish some people on this forum would embrace that philosophy.
While you're wishing in the one, what are you gonna do in the other?

Cheek Swab Confirms Long Suspected Theory.

Detroit Tiger officials today confirmed that Tiger shortstop prospect, Dixon Machado, is the biological grandson of former Detroit Tiger infielder, and famously inept batter, Ray Oyler. Tiger asst vice president, I.P. Knightly, announced the findings in an effort to persuade some of the few remaining deluded Tiger fans to begin to realize that Machado is not the second coming of Alan Trammell, or of Tom Veryzer, for that matter. Knightly stated, "We realize a few disturbed "homers" will continue to pencil Dixon Machado's name in as the team's starting shortstop in 2017, but much like one fan did with Hernan Perez, it would be a giant mistake on their part."
He has Adam Everetts eyes.

I don't know many people, scientist or not that gets excited when they fail... its not human nature. That being said... I know many great people that learn from their mistakes and failures. Anyone that says they get excited with their failure is either insane or lying about it.

How many people do you know in research fields? There are no failures, there are only lessons.

You said they get excited.. there is a difference between learning from your mistakes and being excited with failure.

Moving on...

Voltaire....here is the problem with Master Viceroy. Isaac Azimov summed it up thus:

"There is a cult of ignorance in the United States, and there has always been. The strain of anti-intellectualism has been a constant thread winding its way through our political and cultural life, nurtured by the false notion that democracy means that my ignorance is just as good as your knowledge."

The internet and the easy gathering of an abundance of "pseudo-facts", without the intelligence of using or deciphering them, will lead this country to third world status in a generation. A different third world status than we defined a few decades ago, but a third world status nonetheless.

I don't enjoy talking about the Tigers with you. You are a bigger condescending asshole than I ever pretended to be on any board. You are unable to focus on the fact that you are blinded homer and have absolutely NO objectivity. You are also such a narcissistic butt-wad that you cannot admit when you are wrong, and worse yet, accept any opinion other than your own.

Bottom line....any kind of enjoyable discussion of the Tigers is near impossible with you, especially considering your ''game plan'' of being the Big Man on these boards.

I read that Tigers are open to having Fulmer open the season in the bullpen. I can't buy into that, considering their lack of rotation depth. Unless the coaching staff is seeing a big drop off in velocity and movement after around 30 pitches....this kid needs to be given every chance at being a starter.

this coming from a troll that isn't even a tigers fan. if you can go one day without posting a negative post about the tigers or one day without posting something baiting an argument... I will gain some respect for you...

Your constant use of made up stats, bullshit, and obvious sad attempts to troll are about as valuable to this thread as the dirty diaper you are wearing.

You want me to pat you on the back and agree with you about your made up stat on Machado's AAA stats? NOT GOING TO HAPPEN YOU OLD TROLL FUCK.

This is a great example of one of your baiting posts.

Go ahead and post the article you read about Fulmer opening the season in the bullpen. Would love to read it. I will go out on a limb and say it was written over a month ago if it even exists.

When you say you "read" something.. why not post a link so we can all read it?
