Iffy have faith in Greene. ....
Because 22 yr olds don't give up HR's to major league hitters ever iffy... its one spring training outing...
What fun is not responding? If his comments agitate you ... why do you respond?
He's also suspended 50 games, isn't he?Not unless they move him to the 40-man (which won't happen unless there are a rash of injuries). He is a non-roster invitee to camp.
Like 39 i think... They counted the 11 games he missed in the fall league as part of the 50He's also suspended 50 games, isn't he?
Not a stat guy, He passes my eye test.....If the Manager shifts him or plays him shallow, is it his fault? Stats lie like they always do.
But if your eyes didn't see that dying quail or a hit that should have been deemed a error instead of a hit then the stat lied.....I trust my eyes. Gose passes my eye test......Raburn never did.
There is no problem with that - as long as you realize that it is only YOUR eye test. However, that makes it impossible to compare him (in this case, Mr. Gose) with not only any other outfielder, but it also makes it impossible to critically discuss differing views of Gose (or any player "X") because your eyes/knowledge are not the same as anyone else. Again....that is fine. It just limits the distance you can go in discussing a player's ability oand/or comparing it to some other player's? In short your statement about Ryan Raburn is simply your view (and you are welcome to it) but it has validity in any discussion of his value, or lack of it, beyond whatever limited experience YOU have.![]()
defensive stats can lie. there are just to many variable to get accurate pictures from them.I agree overall with @themuzzer , I am very comfortable with Gose patrolling Centerfield. I see him as one of the best centerfielders in the league. However, I also agree that stats don't lie ... It's just that baseball (or anything) can't be judged solely on stats.

I agree, partly. Defensive metrics are weak. They don't lie...but they can be inaccurate at time.
Miami, pal, politicians lie. Statistics are inaccurate.
8? Really? Name them iffy. Name 8 CF you feel are better than gose in the AL.While Gose is not a weakness for the Tigers (IMO), there are at least eight CF in the AL that are probably better than he is. Plus the Twin's have a top prospect in center I'd swap for Gose.
But hey...I bet the Tribe would like to have Gose! Right buddy? wink, wink
