Everyone can have their own opinions... which hitter in the lineup for the twins is going to hit for at least .300? Seriously.. Their offense is pure crap. They scored 7 more runs last year than a lineup in Det that didn't have their starting LFer, DH, SS the last month or more...

The Twins lineup is about as potent as iffy's dick.
Our SS ain't exactly a run producer. Let's not move to ImaginaryVille just yet.

A team that is dominated with young players, with their top starter possibly not being suspended again, who was better than we were last year, (there's the rub)will not be the worst team in the AL.

Our SS is also batting 9th.

The twins made no major upgrades.. They played well above their head the first half of the season. After July 31st the score more than 4 runs 20 times... out of 60 games... That is shit. They scored about 90 more runs pre all star break than they did post all star break... I would gladly bet you the Twins are nowhere near the top of the AL in runs scored this year.

Time passing is a major upgrade for Minny.

But also an injury risk for our delicate ninth hitter.

Where did top of the league in runs come from?
I meant AL Central.. sorry for the confusion.

Time can pass all the Twins want... They have a history of outfield prospects pooping the bed.. and Buxton is just the next one in line. Wasn't Hicks supposed to be a stud too?

Its funny I would be doing this with someone who claims to be a Tigers fan.. but I will bet you just about anything you want the Tigers offense is better than the Twins this year.. Because it was last year aside from the Twins scoring 7 more runs... The Tigers team BA, OBP, OPS were all much higher.. Upton might lead the league in runs scored this year if his OBP is at his career average and he is batting in front of miggy/vmart/jd.

Still, I am mystified as to how you think they will out-hit the rest of the division. The Tigers lost Victor Martinez and Miguel Cabrera for long stretches last season, Victor had his lowest-ever BA, and Detroit STILL posted the best team batting average in the majors. J.D. Martinez hit 38 homers and drove in 102 with virtually no lineup protection for a lot of games. And the Tigers added Justin Upton.

Despite the team BA, the Tigers were only 10th in the AL in runs, but that was largely due to being 11th in home runs. A healthy Cabrera and adding Upton brings the HR numbers up this year.

You are talking to much sense to him howie.. he is the reverse doug.. for every positive homer post doug has.. smitty has an equally negative pessimistic one.

I will 100% guarantee the Tigers OBP, OPS, HR, and runs scored go up. BA will probably be about the same.. but like you said.. the Tigers actually had the best team BA in the MLB last year.

Its not even just the Tigers that will have a better offense.. the Royals and White Sox both will outscore the Twins. The twins will be lucky to outscore the shitty indians lineup.

I think they could. Not that they will.

I don't think they'll be the worst team in the AL anymore than I think we'll be the best.
