Vegas line has the Tigers at 85 wins. None of this means shit before a spring training pitch has been thrown.
I take vegas lines way more serious than I do USA today. USA today doesn't have money on the line.

Nice article, but I have to laugh at:
"The Tigers had a problem, readily apparent to anyone paying attention the past few years. They were getting older, more expensive, with less depth, and the window was threatening to shut on a franchise squandering the prime years of both future first-ballot Hall of Famer Miguel Cabrera and probable Hall of Famer Justin Verlander."

Miggy is a Hall of Fame lock. But Verlander is by no means a "probable" Hall of Famer at this point of his career.

Verlander has a lot of work to do to get serious consideration. He put himself in a hole with that poop season he had in 2014.

Just so happens I have to be in Tampa for work on Feb. 29-March 2. Unfortunately, the Tigers first two spring games are day games on March 1 & 2, while I'm working. Crap. Might drop in on a practice session the 29th.

Practice sessions are just as good.

Yeah, they want a surprising amount of $$$ for a spring game, and with those early ones you're lucky if the stars play more than a few innings, if at all.

I always just go to see them taking batting practice and watch the pitchers throw. The games are never even a point of my interest really. Its fun to be able to run into them and chat too after the practices are over. Most of the players are pretty good about coming over and hanging out with fans after.

Shittiest team in the AL will be the Twins. Their rotation and bullpen is total shit. Only reason they are projected to do anything is the record from last year that was total dumb luck. Only way the Twins aren't the worst is if a team gets hit with injuries like last years Tigers.
I don't see that one happening.

Better odds they out score eryone in the division imo.

Whatever dude.
Everyone can have their own opinions... which hitter in the lineup for the twins is going to hit for at least .300? Seriously.. Their offense is pure crap. They scored 7 more runs last year than a lineup in Det that didn't have their starting LFer, DH, SS the last month or more...

The Twins lineup is about as potent as iffy's dick.

The Twins will be lucky to have a starting pitcher with an ERA under 4 and a hitter in their lineup with a .300 BA or more than 20 HR.

I can 100% guarantee not one Twin will have 100 RBI.

Saying the Twins are going to outscore the rest of the AL Central would require them to score more than a Tigers team that clearly has a far superior lineup... a Royals team that clearly has a superior lineup... and a White Sox team that clearly has a superior lineup... The only team they may outscore will be the Indians... and the Indians might have an entire rotation of pitchers with ERA's under 4..... The Twins suck bro.

As a team the Twins OBP was 28th in the MLB... only Phili and San Diego were worse.. They were 23rd in OPS. yeah... real awesome offense... Fucking powerhouse up there in Minny.

Maybe the big free agents they brought in will help turn around their offense... oh.. wait... they didn't sign anyone worth a shit.
