as a bench guy that is going to be only needed once a week.. are you expecting all star performance?I'm not very excited about Salty really. He can play first, that's a small bonus.
But the guy has hit over .235 once since 2009. Don't really care if he's a switch hitter really. His bat won't be an impact for us.
But I assume that was the reasoning behind signing him. (Along with being a vet and being the only other guy on the team that can realistically fill in at first for more than an inning here and there.)
BH could be back in Detroit again, but two young soft hitting righties isn't ideal for a team that wants to compete for the division.
