Is Nathan done? Not looking good so far.

I don't think he is done.. but he won't have a long leash if the young guys step up in the pen... Being the last year of his contract... if he is crapping the bed by june or july... i would bet on a DFA. He really has only had one bad outing in the spring... the others have been fine.

If Soria had stayed healthy and done well down the stretch I don't think Joe would even be in camp.

But JS has some injury concerns and Rondon has even more plus never having any success at the highest level. (Beginning of his MLB career was still better than the end of Nathan's though. Waaaay better!)

I will be impressed or infuriated if Nathan is not replaced before AS break. Impressed maybe because he is doing decent or infuriated that Ausmus has not replaced him. Love it to be the first, just can't see it happening.

I read they worked Romine at catcher in bullpen sessions for emergency reasons. Isn't Romine being on the roster a emergency in itself?

I may have figured out who Inge gave the naked photos of DD to.

He and Collins could be the 5th OFer.

Atleast AR knows he's a bench/role guy...

Romine making the team is a waste of everyone's time. He isn't that great of defender... and when Don Kelly is a superior offensive option... you should just be sent packing. Perez has much more value... as does collins. There is no way they DFA Perez before Romine. And if they take Romine and send Collins down just because he has options left.. that is just stupid.

There are plenty of romine's out there.. dfa him... field the best squad... move on.

There is a reason it was stated "emergency" Anytime Romine is in a game I feel it is a emergency situation.

Spring training means nothing, but, from what I've seen so far, I am not getting excited about this season

I will wait till I see a true 25 man roster playing before judging. Could be a slow start unless pitching can carry them until Miggy and VMart are truly in playing shape.

My concern is what the bull pen does early? The Achilles heal the last few years IMO plays a bigger role than in the last few years. Full knowing that the 4th and 5th starters may not go deep like Last year at times. Couple with unknown health recovery for Anibal and JV. Scary as hell for me.
