Until Dirks is here next month, it should only be Kelly playing LF or RF not JD.

I agree. He's a much better defensive player. Might better than Hunter in field now tbh. His arm is still strong but he doesn't seem to get a jump on anything anymore. Dirks, Jackson, Kelly will be a nice defensive outfield lineup to see, once a week.

Yeah, the glass-half-full people will say, hey it's a 4-3 home stand. The realist says they lost 3 of the last 4 games against clearly inferior teams. They scored 9 runs yesterday, but only 2, 1 and 3 runs in their losses -- against pitching they should light up like a Christmas tree.

Baseball ebbs and flows. 3-0 against O's suddenly last 10 games are 7-3. I really don't see them having any big losing streaks. The 4-3 does not kill me. Going 4-3 every 7 games is 90 wins. We also now they will not go 7-3 every ten.

I am more impressed by sweeping a division leader and playoff contender. Be more impressed with 2of 3 from Boston. Really good road trip after mediocre home stand. Ebbs and Flows...

At least you have to battle yourself about who is better. There is no doubt when JD is in conversation.

I will take Hunter's offense and step slower defense over JD, Diggler and your boy blue.

that was a great series in Baltimore. great pitching hard to see along losing streak with this rotation. great way to go into Boston just hope the weather holds don't need any more rain outs

Well, yeah, I did not see a sweep in Baltimore coming after the way they finished vs. the Twins and Astros. Tigers are killing it on the road this season (11-4).

So far all I see is what players can do if put in the right position.

Ausmus is ten times the Manager Leyland ever was.....Hated the lineup today, but Ausmus makes them run, run, run. That game was a loss under JL waiting for the lineup to turn over again while everyone stands on base two feet from the bag waiting for a double.

Just to be safe here, I don't want Kelly starting over anyone in the outfield on a regular basis. Other than Martinez, who won't be around much longer anyway.

Agreed Howie. We expected at least a 5-2 home stand and 2-1 with O's. Still 7-3. Some here seem to love to be nervous. Rather see the sweep of O's than sweep of Twins.... otherwise the nervous nellies here will start the they beat all scrubs and can't beat anyone above 500.

Never ending battle. Somebody mentioned they 9 then 2, 1, 3. Did the same with Prince last year.

DD will make moves at the break. IMO he knows time is running short in WS chances. I will get nervous in August if Coke is still here.

I'm pretty sure it would have....I havn't looked it up but guys running on different counts and stolen bases lead to more runs.....If I had to guess, and this is a pure guess.....We are already close to last years total of SB half way through May.....Or atleast it feels that way.

The running has been great....JL would never do this....the SP has been crazy good so far and the BP is settling down....still more help there would be nice..

I agree leyland didnt like using strategy in games. Also Coke would have lost more games got us like you said.
