fan voting. harper 263 BA and a whopping 28 RBI. wow and I thought the yank fans voting in every Yankee possible a few seasons ago was bad. This might be one of the worst starting selections of all time.

I'm so sick of Harper already. 15RBI aside from driving himself in. I don't know who it is that's invested in him, but they definitely have done quality PR work. It's not like the kid hits leadoff either. I wouldn't even put him in the top five of guys under 22. If he were still a catcher I might be less inclined to hate hearing about him. But he's not. Hopefully he looks stupid in the AS game again this year, and 13 year olds stop caring about him.

how can Leyland not make a pitching change after AL AL walks the first 2 batters???

why does he always let a guy blow the game?? Leyland doesn't have a clue how to handle a pitching staff

He walked the first batter THEN gave up a 2 run homer THEN walked the next guy......question is, why wasnt smyly facing brantley? Because he pitched in the blow out the day before?

OK. That was amazing how you spun that. I 'mention' Davis...so I must be pulling for him. I 'don't mention' Miggy, so I am against him. ALTHOUGH - Imentioned him in the same post!!! And Raburn.....how long have I been doing the Raburn updates? Since last year, right. Why do you think that is? (Hint...I stopped the Inge updates because I did not think more than one update was needed to get my point across. lol)

As for pulling for Lamont??? Even muzz would laugh at that one.

You gave us the update about davis......then you said miggy better get going......so the NEXT game, miggy hits a HR........but yet........no mention of it.........just seems when the tigers win, you dont post.....but when they lose, its like you enjoy it.......come in and rub it in when miggy, prince or JV blow it. Same thing injun, sox, twins, and royals fans do.....wait to jump on the tigers stars, the few times they fail. Jess sayin.....

JL's pen decisions about as good as his all star selections pen decisions. Cecil from the Jays and another jay in the final vote. Could be one of 4 blue jays (yes this is a last place team). Only one Oakland player. Rumor is balfour 22 out of 22 in saves will be the replacement for Colon scheduled to pick on Sunday. but Balfour should have been named way ahead of a setup guy on a last place team.

In other news Bonderman DFA by the M's. As I have stated numerous times until JB develops a pitch to get out lefties, he is not an MLB starter. His splits this season lefties hitting over 300 and righties barely over 200. Same ole JB. Million dollar arm 10 cent brain.

Sure would be nice to see the Tigers find a spot for him. I wonder if the Rays still think getting Myers from the Royals was better than the Tigers package for Shields?

Thats one that I think will end up being a great trade Detroit didn't make!

garcia got into the old legendary llyod pull the ball philosophy. Hitfor the cycle last night with everything going to center or right. Soooooo hopefully they let him stay down and keep him away from the hitting coach in detroit.

well garcia is no don kelly. As bob uecker once said " do you know how hard it is to be a 10 year big leaguer with a BA around 200. Anyone can hit 300 and get 10 years. it takes talent to stay up for 10-15 years hitting at the mendoza line."

Garcia being a bad centerfielder has nothing to do with Kelly. I'd also take Dirks, Hunter or Infante as a replacement. Guys of his size play the corners, for good reason. He lost the Tigers a game in center, the same week DK won one out there. (For Scherzer if I'm not mistaken). No reason, even show casing, that a 240 pounder should be out there.

i was at a game on a saturday earlier this year where Don kelly misplayed a ball in center that led to 2 of the runs they scored in the first. I guess I figure the Tigers should score more than 2. But if you want to go by the letter of the law. DK cost that game. Although I will not blame one play for the game.

Like I said, Garcia being a bad centerfielder has nothing to do with anyone but himself and his parents for passing on to him big, strong, large, meaty genes. If they decided to play him in left everyday I wouldn't have a problem with it. Center is another story.
