Hasn't Tuaisasopo done enough to et some more playing time? Dirks hasn't hit to justify his permanent slot vs right handers. I would definitely like to see MT get some of Dirks time.

I finally found a spot where iffy is loved!!!!

He came on the AL central smack talk thread and all the royals, twins, and injun fans love him........wonder why.....

Its gotta be so hard to hate on a team every day over and over and.......well i guess he doesnt show up after a win, so he does get days off.

Notice he hasnt been in here to bask in the glory of the sox blowout......oh yeah thats cuz hes on the smack talk thread bashing the tigers entertaining the twins and injun fans. Unreal!

So......

Leyland starts avila vs a lefty.....was pena hurt? Tired? JV pitching?

Then in a 1-1 tie and dunn up with leadoff man on......why not bring in a lefty......seems like dunn kills us.....but even if jimmy was to go with match ups, it would of been coke, since smyly pitched in a blow out a few days ago......instead of coke. .....just dont think tigs cared about the game last night.....guess everyones mind was on just getting home....still gotta face sale.

Tigers bounce back ..after being tired from the longest road trip of the year.
you can understand last nights late inning flame out from the bull pen.

every thing good about this game. middle of the line up was on fire!
Rondon is still a work in progress.

only bad sign. Dirks had a terrible night at the plate. just terrible. he left a few runners on. score could have been 14 -5.

I know because he never has great games. Somehow he almost has 70 RBI's already. I guess hes not great because he cant match miggys numbers. Wow watta bum.

10 games over 500 for a team iffy called a 500 team last night. The tigers have severe holes quoting iffy......as if no other teams have holes. There is no perfect team. The giants were far from perfect last year. And the cardinals before that.....but keep bashing the tigs.....the injun and twins fans are loving them some iffy....iffy isnt a homer tiger fan they say..lmfaoooo

Anyone overly concerned about Verlander's half-season, go look at Matt Cain's numbers for the Giants. 5-6, 5.06 ERA, and on pace to give up 30 HR. His last start, he threw 36 pitches in 0.2 IP and was yanked. As you said -- no perfect teams and the Tigers "severe holes" are less severe than most.

Dull and boring?! That grand slam to a rookie catcher sure wasn't boring! I almost had to throw my beer at the screen!

It wouldn't have been so bad if he hadn't had that loud out to the warning track at the exact same spot on the field on the exact same change-up that he took deep for the win.

I don't necessarily blame Sanchez, since shit happens and the guy he was facing is a professional ball player, but when he almost takes you deep a couple innings earlier you don't go to that very same pitch with the bases loaded!

Oh well, lots of games left and we're still in first place. Some games are bound to get away I suppose...
