But seriously....why is Santiago still a Tiger. I am beginning to think that Miggy has it in his contract that Ramon sticks around. Maybe is the best guy "in the clubhouse" - ever.

You can never have enough pitching.....Muzz.....Tigers have only used 6 different SP this year.....lowest in league.....I think we will need this guy again....

burf..the tigers using only six starters isn't a reflection of the lack of personnel its a reflection of lack of injuries plus consistency as starters.

Alvarez had one good start against a seriously slumping Indians team. Would be awesome if the tigers could get something for him but I don't think teams are that stupid are they?

Soo....did shaneman pass away or something? Hes a reflection of his team, they have both "gone fishin" the rest of the season I guess.

I know the reason for the # of SP used just saying a long season and there are going to be more times we need someone.......Tigers been lucky so far no injury bug with SP......some teams have used as many as 11 different SP so far this year....

Alvarez maybe a trading chip....I'm not suggesting we could trade him for a closer strait up. Learn social behavior iffy.

He could possibly be used as a chip is all I'm saying. Minor league guys are used all the time.

Muzz....I am glad that Alvarez got the Tigers a win...but he is not considered a super prospect. Detroit is his 3rd organization and he has been in the minors since 2006. I really doubt any team is going to get that excited about him, until he adds a few more major league games to his resume.

Hopefully he can be made available if Detroit needs another starter in an emergency. (Would Alvarez push Verlander down to being the fifth starter if he replaced Porcello?)

great effort by that kid from Toledo today. and Don Kelly hit one out...when we needed ..wow.
Kelly has been dead weight so far this year. he is a AAA player.

Looks like we will breeze through to the central title.. still need a closer.got to have one for the post season
