this was not the bullpens fault, this would fall on the lineup. Anyways lots of tigers fans sure are rollercoaster fans. Its a long season, they are going to have losing streaks and also winning streaks.

tigers hitters have always heated up as the weather does. The pirates do have pretty good pitching so lets not discount them so quickly.

Seems every time the Tigers lose or a pitcher has one or 2 bad outings the season is over....baseball is a game of failures.....99% of the teams will lose more than 60 games......great baseball mind around listing every out as a failure and posting every scoreless inning.....

6-9 in 1 run games and 2-6 in xtras. draw your own conclusions. also 500 against everyone except houston. yes we do not play them again.

I guess having names like Cabrera, Fielder, and Verlander on your roster makes it sound like this team should dominate. I don't think they ever will. This may be one of those instances where the whole ISN'T bigger than the sum of its parts. In fact - the whole of this team is not that good. No one thing wrong, just a bunch of weak areas which brings the 'total' of this team back to mediocre.

The Tigers' post-season will depend more on the hope that the rest of the AL Central is no better than .500 type teams.

Nick Markakis, Adam Jones and my boy Nate make up the best outfield in baseball, IMO. (all-around, despite Luke Scott's absence). Looking forward to Max, JV, and Ricky doing their part this weekend to prove me wrong.

Just wondering. In all of baseball, there isn't a better option for a reserve middle infielder than Ramon Santiago? Not an earth-shacking problem....but I'd think, somewhere, there is a player who could add a little more than Santiago does.
