Well....if you are going to be down 3 games to 2 and going to the other team's park...having Scherzer and Verlander ready to go is about as good as you can hope for.

That's certainly true. I think we take game 6, but I dunno about taking two in Boston.

You honestly have to go back to game 2.. That will end up being the series changer..

You beat Lester once and denied him a CG the second time around.

That's better than you think it is, Tiger fans.

Two very even teams. Detroit has had the better starting pitching, but the Red Sox have been more consistent on offense. This sure isn't like last years ALCS where the Yankees just called it in.

He had ONE CG all year Brahm,....ONE. Hahahaha I'm not sure what the percentage of non-CG's is for him this year, but Id guess its around 96-97%. Got outs when he needed them tonight, and got his club a W. congrats to Jon on that.

I have a hunch that Game #2 will be brought up for a long, long time to come. Especially when the Tiger lose 2 or 3 games in a row and the manager needs to be blamed. In fact - I can hear Game #2 being mentioned every time Leyland makes a pitching change next season.

I'm predicting the Red Sox will prevent Max Scherzer from going Complete Game, in game 6. As every team that's ever faced Max has done just that. But I am looking forward to another excellent baseball game Saturday. Nothing is easy in this series...

he actually made a post saying Lester may have been the best pitcher in all of baseball from 06-11. Not only is that asinine, but Lester's 06 and 07 seasons only hurt his cause. And I say that as a big Lester fan.

Lester's been very good for the Sox. He's even had stretches where he was absolutely dominant for months (he had a 2.48 ERA from May 21 to Oct 1 in 2009, 2.49 ERA from April 23 to Sept 25 in 2010). Unfortunately, he's never been able to sustain it over an entire season.

10 complete games in 220 starts isn't that impressive. But to his credit, he's been durable (six consecutive seasons of 30+ starts and 190+ IP).

I've always liked Lestah. For his career, and what he's faced personally. Always draft him in atleast one fantasy league. But.... I also remember having a conversation over the summer with Brahm where he stated Clay and JL would win " multiple" CYA's in the coming years. Both VERY good,... But...... Also remember having to defend Tram vs. Mark Belanger on a thread on this board once with Brahm. I've been guilty if pumping up Jake Peavy for no good reason before though, so I can handle a little homer bump for the lefty. But it's still funny.

Ha, yeah '06 and '07 basically disqualify him from best anything. So does the fact his career has never seen a season with an ERA below 3.21. Has he ever finished top five in CYA voting?

im sorry but this is the series of give away. Tigers gave away game 2, gave away game 3 and gave away today game, Cabrea running, pitcher dropping ball to give a run, chance after chance CHOKED away. Then Cabrea MV--- CHOKE time. Prince Dumbass isnt going to move him. We may still win it but the series should be over already.

15 post season games with out a RBI. Fielder !!
is this the biggest no show in post season history? has to be a Detroit record.

the worst part. if you look at the Tigers record of scoring runs in Fenway the last 7 years...its bad. not micheal Jackson bad. basd like matt millen bad.
Tigers just cant score runs at fenway.
we need Max and Justin to carry the day AGAIN
