I thought we'd be in trouble AFTER the 9th because I thought Benoit would pitch the 9th. Leyland bumped it up by an inning by taking his last decent RP out prematurely.

Jim leyland sucks. This game WAS his fault

Absolutely it was. There's no reason NOT to create a force play. Also was no reason to pull the CYA winner when he was dealing.

BP is trash... Fielder needs to DH.. Bad move by Leyland, but it's mostly hindsight because it looked good last night.. I'd mostly blame the shit BP.. What kind of moron uses a 1st pitch fastball to a fastball hitter struggling with breaking balls all night? Benoit that is..

I hope JV pulls a Jack Morris and tells him to get the F*** out of here if he comes to the mound (or the end of the dugout after an inning is over) to take him out. Our SP's need to pitch as long as possible.

Goddamn this game made me want to vomit.. Both the BP and Leyland is trash.. Between this and the Michigan game.. Who fucking knew the Lions would be the saving grace of the weekend...

He brings in benoit in the 8th looking for a 4 out save......he faces TWO batters, and he cant pitch the 9th, because NOW its tied? So we bring in porcello?

We pull veras after TWO batters up 5-1 and one man on....so smyly can go lefty lefty with elsbury, EVEN tho theres TWO RH hitters after him before the power hitting papi? So if elsbury hits a HR off veras its only 5-3 and he stays in or AL AL comes in to face two RH hitters....BUT smyly is there to face papi in a GAME TYING situation.

Then max at 108 and dealing gets taken out? Its october!!!!!!!! He should be able to go that next step....hes not 21!!!

Then not walking to load the bases to set up a force or hopefully a home first double play. I guarantee you if the tigers were the ones hitting, the other team would load the bases and go for the DP at home to first.

Jimmy did very bad in a huge game.....now we gave a monster new life.

Yeah, that pretty much sums it up. May have been the worst 2 innings of managing that I've ever seen.
