Burf, things are pretty slow this time of year here in Yreka. With Jody gone, there ain't no monkey meat out on the street. BUT, did ya catch them Red Wings last nite? Some of Holland's youngsters look pretty good.

Are Iffy, Muzz, and MiamiVice truly gone? This place smells fresher already.

It's not the close games that scare me. It is the all-or-nothing offense. Runs are harder to come by in October and we need the top of the order to get on base. If Peralta can come back where he left off, that would help a lot.

It will be interesting to see how the Wings make out in the East this year....
Tough time of year for the Tigers. ....long season, waiting for the playoffs. ...lets hope they wrap this up soon and get set up for the post season. ....a little R&R for the wounded and set up the pitching. ...got mixed feelings about Jhonny and the cheating thing but u are right that bat would look good in the 6 or 7 hole!!!!!!

Me too but all indications are he is going to be on the roster. I'm really hoping neither the Tigers or the A's catch the BoSox so I can go to a couple of games.

it will be interesting to see how teams respond after clinching. Usually the next game looks like a spring game. However with 3 games between the teams for home field that may not happen.

Tigers have tiebreaker over Sox
A's have tie breaker over Tigers
A's/Sox split the series . I believe the next tiebreaker is AL games (record less interleague)
