Great bounce-back start for Porcello, after that throttling in Boston. I get that the White Sox lineup isn't the Red Sox lineup, but still clutch. He needed it, the team needed it.

That Red Sox loss was not telling... He was actually doing fairly well in Boston until he walked the bases full... Control is not usually a problem for him... He walks very few... I love when Ricky shows flashes of real potential... Shutting up the people that think he is fully developed at 24.

77 strikes, 28 balls in last night's game. Pretty damn good control. I've heard it said more than a few times that many pitchers, consciously or not, change the way they pitch in Fenway out of fear. Seems to have been the case for Rick.

Well i dont start porcello over JV. Next week when porcello gets blown up will you still want to start rick over JV? I've been a huge porcello supporter all year on here and rightfully so, he is who we think he is, he is a matchup pitcher and does exceptional against certain teams and gets destroyed against others. YEah JV hasnt had a JV year to his point but he can completely dominate any team unlike rick and JV can throw a complete game any time he steps on the mound while it took rick what four, five years for his first? JV, fister max and sanchez will be the rotation in the playoffs and porcello will come out of pen and hopefully JL can put him in in the right situations because rick can be an extremely valuable asset this postseason if used correctly.

JP will be back and hopefully in lineup somewhere for his bat but definitely should not be replacing iglesias at short. Lf works for me, we had johnny damon out there at one point and peralta is a better hitter and probably has a better arm.

Not that this should even be necessary.
JV 3.6
1.3

Rick 4.5
1.3

It shouldnt even be a question.

Also i seem to remember many tigers fans wanting rid of vmart earlier this season, now hes second on team in batting average. Good thing the tigers dont listen to fans wanting to bench and cut star players any time they slump or this team would be in rouble.

No way he starts over JV tho.....JV is having a down year for JV, but he can still go out and dominate a game.

Dangit...was gonna bet on detroit and over last night.....tonight scares me....last game of a very long road trip..some guys are gonna be anxious to get home.

If we're looking for a groundball. Or need two or three innings, Ricky's a huge asset in the pen. Every out he gets is a run NewMexico doesnt allow. I'm not going to predict the playoff rotation until the regular season is over. Max and Sanchez have had wonderful seasons. But JV is JV. He finishes strong and I could see him going in game one. But I could see Max or Sanchez also. So I'll hold off for now on that.

There was an iffy episode for sure. Only guy who felt the need to rip Miggy, Prince or VMart every chance he had. Or anyone else for being a fan of a player. It's nice to actually enjoy the Tigers Board during the stretch run this year. I couldn't stand reading his shit from last Aug-The WS.

Fuck so you are telling me new mexico is going on the playoff roster? I have no idea what the order of the rotation should be, but i definitely think it should be those four. I honestly think they should go with whoever has the hottest hand come playoffs as their number one. You could make a case for any of them.

I'd go JV, Max. Sanchez, Fister.

I posted in a cbs glog around May that I fully expected Vmart to be over .280 by the end of the season. The fact that he's close to .300 is a bonus.

You forgot the ever-popular "The Tigers will fall back to the pack", which I know he said on at least two occasions. After each one, the Tigers pulled away from the pack instead.
