Dombrowski said that Peralta would not be brought back as the starting shortstop and will work out at multiple positions, including shortstop and third. Dombrowski said that Peralta would likely also take grounders at second base as well as fly balls.

I think jhonny could take some fly balls and probably be just as good defensively in left as either matt or Nick. he will be an upgrade offensively for sure. Although no decision has been made, it was made clear he would not be replacing Iggy at SS, unless the shin splints get too bad.

okay this is the deal. The Rangers are bringing Cruz back. So if there is a spot for jhonny, seeing how the offense has struggled lately. They have a responsibility to put the best team on the field.

Right now I start Porcella over Verlander in the playoffs. We know he is only good for 7-8 innings but they are good innings and with Verlander its all or nothing.
