Can I get some Nick C updates tonite? I won't be able to watch the game but do want to know how he looks at the plate as well as on the field.

Obviously not from this game.. but so far from what I have seen from him.. he is making contact but i think he was nervous as crap that game and was swinging at anything close just to get a hit in front of his mom and dad.

I saw him in spring training... the kid is going to hit .300... he gets the barrel of the bat on the ball most of the time... its going to be more about if he hits for power, or if he is just a slap hitter... but I don't think you are ever going to see him hit more than 20 to 25 hr... I like the kid, but I was higher on Garcia than Castellanos. I trust Dombrowski though... he knows what he is doing and he obviously knows more than I do.

Any else see Delmon Young hitting .385 since coming to Tampa... watch that turd go on a hot streak in the playoffs again... like him or not... in left field.. his bat would be hands down better than what we have... to bad he is a complete shitbag in the field.

can't say I will be watching the game much after 8:00. Except during the halftime of the football game. Just can't watch Holtz/May. They are just horrible.

I am going to watch the tigers... and flip over a few times to the UM game... I feel like if I don't watch they will do better...

Holtz is a good guy to take life lessons from such as morals and character, but to much ND Homerism to listen to him talk football.

He would make a good grandpa but obviously a bad commentator.

Holtz is old school... Its sad that people like that are going the way of the woolly mammoth.

Holtz got Minnesota, Notre Dame and South Carolina on a total of 7 years probation. Not sure I would take life lessons from Holtz.

Well the words that came out of his mouth were good ones on morals and character, I can't help what he did behind the scenes......

Michigan has a good one......I wasn't all warm and fuzzy with the Brady Hoke hire but this man impresses me week in and week out and even during the off season.....

Who doesn't love this guy?

two things.
Tigers now 13-17 in JV's starts and now 21-21 against lefty starters. Just do not handle lefty starters.

Castellanos noodle arm cost the Tigers a run... kid looked like Johnny Damon in left field on that throw to the plate... seriously... he wasn't even that deep.. had momentum coming forward and still threw it about 10 ft short... That concerns me... Delmon would have thrown the runner out there...

Tigers were winning 2-1 against duffy... the bullpen got that win.. they were beating him around pretty bad really.. he didn't even make it 5.

Same crap from Verlander again.. gets to 1-2 counts or 0-2 counts and then throws a meatball... He hit 99 on the gun... its not velocity.. its location.. he is leaving pitches over the plate... Its driving me nuts... I wish it was velocity.. then at least he wouldnt be serving meatball.. dude looks like Kyle Farnsworth with a 0-2 count this year.

Tigers go from good, patient at-bats vs. Shields (and vs. Duffy for one inning), then have horrible, impatient at-bats the rest of the series. Sadly typical.

With 19 games left, will Detroit "back" into the playoffs, play .500 ball or finish like a divisional champion should?
Cleveland has a very weak schedule and I remember last season when Chicago choked in the last month.
Should be interesting.
