In 5+ innings, Porch-ello gives up 7 hits (4 HRs), 9 runs/8 earned. Plus 4 walks and a hit batter -- from a guy who's billed as a control pitcher.

These games are fewer and farther between for Rick, but given that they still happen and when they do he gives his team ZERO chance to win, it's clear he still has a long way to go.

And don't even get me started on our middle relief. Ugh and double-ugh.

Article on mlive today....it says the tigers will make a decision on jhonny in the near future.....he could be used for insurance for miggy at 3B also. I think he takes 2E spot unless 2E heats up..

There are favorites if you bet straight up. Or you can bet with a spread, or Over/Under. In football there's a money line you can bet also. (Boston just homered again. I thought Bondo took himself out last night. I didn't see Jimmy walk out to the mound. I was laughing...). I'm starting to get the feeling Leyland doesn't like speaking to reporters? Hahahaha, media time=chow time.

22 games left with a 6.5 game lead... means the Tigers can go .500 rest of the way and the Indians would have to win 18 games out of their last 23 to tie it up...Basically.. if the Tigers win 11 more.. the Indians can only lose 5 games... I like the odds right now.

I think it has to do with evening out the lineup and trying to have a decent hitter at the bottom of the order.

I can live with Dirks behind Vmart. I think JL likes omar and iggy at the bottom of the lineup together. Dirks hitting decent the second half. Omar is 3 for 18 while Dirrks is 2 for 8.
