Fister and Al Al weren't very good, but it was yet another game vs. Chicago in which the Tigers couldn't score squat. In the last series, the Tigers scored 2, 3 and 3, but managed to win all three games. Can't be doing that again. Give credit to Sale in this one, though.

Tigers have 11 games left with the Royals, and only 3 left with the Indians. So the Royals have at least a bit of hope because they can beat the team in front of them directly, and don't need as much help from the Tigers' other opponents. That said, the Royals need to go at least 7-4 in those games for them to mean all that much.

I admit the royals have a fair amount of young talent but they just lack the starting pitching, still. They will probably trade away their studs per usual unfortunately.
