Detroit Tigers Ongoing 2013 Thread

From what I can see.. most of the players in West MI right now are really raw.. Castro is a top 20 prospect in the system.. but only 19... and all the rest of the guys that are position players are not top 20 prospects.. The only other guys of note on that team are Jake Thompson and the pitcher that lost today.. Briceno.. and they are all under 20... so.. for what its worth.. its not like it was the tigers prime talent.. most of that is in erie and lakeland right now... only 3 of these guys are top 20 in our system.. and two of them were pitchers.. Thompson and Briceno.

Yanks are a lesson for teams that buy high priced free agents in their 30s and extend long contracts to players past their prime... I hope DD watched and doesnt follow this formula... Yanks are so from having mlb ready prospects... It could be years before a youth movement starts... And they have spend 100 mil or more a yr on past their prime players...
