Wow the men LOB is killing me......why do we struggle with men on 3rd and less than 2 outs and fail so much. Can never just hit a fly ball when needed.....im ready for infante....perez cant lay off the crap.

Yep.... Verlander could have been better and Veras gave up his first run as a Tiger, but I put this game on the 12 LOBs in the first 6 innings. Putrid clutch hitting. And the blown call plus Jackson's baserunning blunder in the 8th didn't help.

Oh well, put it behind us and let's beat up on Sale again in Chi-town.

Yeah, Omar is needed down the stretch. Hernan Perez needs to go back to AAA to learn more plate discipline.

Did you guys really think Tui was going to hit .300+ all season? He has been a AAAA player his career... he was hot to start the season.. he was nothing more than a hot bat... I bet he gets DFA'd soon when Castellanos is ready in sept. There is almost no way Tui makes the playoff roster.

Detroit needs a left fielder. Both Dirks/2e look terrible when there are RISP situations.

Torii Hunter with 6 LOBs yesterday. He was worse than Tui or Perez in the clutch.

I didnt expect nothing from 2E....but if your job is to platoon vs lefties....you better hit those lefties....if you get up with the bases loaded and one out, you better take advantage of your chance. Especially against an old washed up guy that everyone has hit. Not swing at first pitch and hit DP.....or even in mop up time get struck out by raturd.

So now 2E and peralta wont be on your postseason roster.....interesting......i think youre putting a lil bit too much stock in nicky c for this postseason....hope youre right about nick tho. Ive never been a big fan of prospects. They never seem to workout for us....so we trade em

I expect a tigers pickup to replace tui with a more established vet through a trade in the next few days... If not.. I would bet Tui is the one that gets left off.. Nicky C or Peralta would be a better bat to ride in Oct... I don't think we see Peralta back.. but he has a better chance if Tui keeps pooping his pants... The guy was hitting like an all star.. and was never a legit mlb player before this year.. it was only a matter of time before he fell back to the norm. There are bats in toledo that can match tui at this point.

Yeah, 120 plate appearances never tells the whole story. See Jose Iglesias of May-June 2013 or Andy Dirks of 2012, and then look at them now.

Some guys are too quick to jump on players bandwagons and quick to jump off....long season....seems hot and cold spells are the norm for most players......2E had an unreal stretch hope it comes back....one guy who needs one of those long hot spells is Dirks.....read Omar may be back tuesday....

great news is Infante is back for tonights game. as far as matt T. his babip for april, may june was 421, 368 and 545. So everyone knew it wasn't going to last. Similar to the hot bat last year with Berry last season. Got off to a hot start until teams saw some video on him and figured out what he could and couldn't hit. Just not that suprising.

Nick is hitting only 279 for the season. But is hitting 321 against lefties. We shall see.
