Well that was an amazing game last night. Have to give the indians credit as well. They would not go away! Every time the tigers took the lead i had the feeling it would be relinquished again in the bottom half of the inning.

You are nit picking a little to call him a dud.. when the dude took a extra innings walk.. on a 3-2 pitch... got on first.. and scored the winning run from 1st base... He may have not been perfect.. but dude was the reason the tigers won... if 90% of the other tigers were on first.. they don't score on prince's double.

Thats your opinion. There is not an excuse to get picked off. Sloppy baserunning, very well could have ended the game that inning, but instead extended it several more. No excuse, dud.

Seriously... getting picked off does not off set scoring the game winning run from first on a double... take a poll.. there was no guarantee he was even going to score the inning he got picked off..

Was getting picked off acceptable? No.. but he was a late innings replacement.. that was apart of the winning play.. It just bothers me when fans get down on a 21 yr old player that is still very much a prospect for one play... you should be applauding the kid and hoping he pans out.. not nit picking one bad base running error. The kid doesn't get enough respect from tigers fans in my book.. he has hit decent for a 21 yr old... and been apart of the team during its best stretch.

Especially after getting on via the strikeout, then going first to third on a dead ball, (Fielder strikeout)which accounted for nothing, as he went back to first, and got picked off. We have a very poor team from a base running stand point. Jackson can fly, yet he's an awful baserunner.

I am a fan of leyland.. but I have to agree that in his time with the team... they have not been good base runners.. Last year with Gene Lamont at third base coach was the peak of idiotic base running.

Why not blame Leyland for the pick off??? Looked as though he was given the steal sign the way he was leaning, wasn't just an aggressive secondary lead. He is a kid with speed, needs to learn to steal bases properly is all. As far as scoring from first, I agree not many make that stretch around the bags. Kid made a bad read on the pitcher, then scored from first, let's call it a wash and be happy the Tigs won again!!!!

In general, the Tigers are a slow team. But the fastest guy, is one of the worst baserunners on the team. That falls on coaching, imo. I'd say worst, but Victor and Lil' Al have no option but to be bad, as they're painfully slow. The station to station bullshit is one of my biggest anti-Leyland platforms. Our stolen bases leader, has SEVEN steals. SEVEN!!! (AJax has 6)
