Raburn still sucked and the Tigers won crushing Cleveland into thinking they had a chance.

Great win for the Tigers. Bonderman looked good out there, and Prince gets out of his slump. I think Max earns the sweep tomorrow.

Impressive win again......another day, another tiger QS.....rondon was impressive! Once miggy and iggy went out, i didnt think we could score. Prince had been slumping bad.....comes up with a huge hit off clevelands trade deadline bum. Bonderman looked great.....hope he keeps it up. He seems a good fit in middle/long relief duties.

Now no pressure tomorrow. Love to go up 7, but if you told me the tigers would of been leaving cleveland up 5, i woulda been very happy. No day off tomorrow for any big guns....its a night game i see.....the back ups got alot of PT tonight.

That had to be the largest strike zone I have ever seen called in MLB game.. Was it just me or was the ump calling high strikes and balls 6 inches off the plate strikes? And that gun in Clev has to be off... I noticed Verlander was hitting high 90's yesterday.. and was happy.. but something is off when you see this rookie hitting high 90's in the 7th inning... Rondon hitting 103... and even Benoit hit 97...

There were several third strikes that were up around the letters. Santiago's stands out more than any of the others. Not a very standard zone. But I'll give Blue a little credit, his StrikeZone was consistently high, and consistently HUGE. I was caught off guard with Rondon hitting 103, that's for sure. But I didn't notice any other Tigers outside of their normal speed. That Salazar kid could be a nice addition to the Tribes rotation. Hot gun or not, he's got a live arm to stay the least.

I like how he presents it as others needing people to dislike him. He doesn't need any help in that department at all- anyone who has spent any time on a board he's been posting on knows he's a grade A tool.

Who are the admins over here? Shock got bounced from the Lions board in less than a week for this kind of behavior, I'm surprised that the Tigers board admin insn't holding up SportsHoopla standards over here...

It was definitely off. Rich Hill throwing a fastball at 94 MPH confirmed it. I was on the way home and listening on the radio, and Dickerson said something like, "I can't remember the last time Rich Hill threw anything at 94."

They're ridiculous aren't they? And I'd have to agree on Rick. He could be a decent three on a solid staff. The rest.... #1s on a good staff. Or 1-5 on a great staff, which is what were getting the chance to enjoy this season. Just an absolutely impressive season for the group as a whole.

Especially on the starting staff. JV is the oldest at 30. We may have some challenges signing Max, but if the Tigers can keep this group together, they'll contend for at least a few more years.

Right Howie the SP is crazy good....If the Tigers can't sign Max the head will not fall off....I haven't looked it up but the 8 starting Hunter and VMart are the only guys over 32.....always have to replace and upgrade the core looks solid.....

Max will be under a lot of pressure to take the best FA deal offered as he could be in line for JV King Felix type money instead of giving Detroit a home team discount. Max could single handily raise the expectations for Number 1 starters at contract time. Which is great for Max but sucks for Tiger fans.

It looks pretty evident that the Tigers will make the post season....fingers crossed. I was just wondering if the game plan, for October, is to blame any negative results on Jim Leyland? I understand that a lot of you will be shifting over to the Lions/football boards in the next couple of weeks and your attention and close scrutiny of the Tigers will diminish. Thus do you hold the "Blame Leyland" card at the ready, since blaming all problems on the manager is the simplest course to take?

Did any of you hear that some Indian fans were chanting "Detroit is Bankrupt" at Wednesday's game. THAT, is a sure signal that they have accepted that their 'team' is outclassed.
