Pitching out of the pen for toledo, posting a 1,2,3 inning. this season for the M's did hold righties to 200 BA, while lefties hit over 300 against him. We shall see.

well santiago we really have no choice, unless going with perez. As far as Dirks goes, not sure what can be done there. He should be able to hit more than 253 against rh starters in a platoon situation. Could bring up garcia or Nick, but then that leaves an all righty OF and only 1 lefty starter plus a 1 switch hitter. The better option is probably giving matt T more AB's.

am I the only tired of the JV attitude. Glaring in at the unp when he doesn't get the call, Staring at base runners when they dare get a hit off him. he seems to be turning into a diva. I prefer the aptitude Max has way over JV and his over the top mentality.

JV bailed out by horrible KC Defense. Wow no error on Hosmer on the Dirks " hit '. A routine grounder to 1B. This is why I pay absolutely zero attention to fielding percentage. That play leads to a pair of runs and needs to be made.

i can't believe FSN canned larry murphy and we are stuck with rod allen and his vast experience of a whole 58 PA.s. No chasing a pitcher in the OF in Japan doesn't count. But seriously he is totally awful. Not as bad as hawk, but getting close.

That was on Guthrie if anyone. Hosmer was getting ready to toss it to him when he quit running. At that point all Hosmer could do was dive for the bag. You can't give the pitcher an error because he made a bonehead play... hence the hit.

thats twice tonight a runner on third with less than 2 outs and a grounder to third. Simply unacceptable. pointless to sac a runner to third and not have the next guy deliver.

He's always been a diva. It's just not as annoying when he's the best pitcher in the league like he's been the past 2 years.

well aside from JV the story of this game is the inability to convert with runners on base and instead try to pull the ball and hit grounders to third all night from the right handed batters. Thanks llyod.

Not a fan of 'wait for the big inning' style. Regardless of where the Tigers end up, I am hoping that the team decides to re-mold the team. Of course with Miggy and Fielder in the center of the order...that is a tough re-do.
