Also said if he can get the cases settled he might not be suspended because he sat out last year.

You can eliminate AFC teams!! I think Houston would much rather ship him to the NFC for obvious reasons.
They were willing to send him to Miami. To your point I'm sure their preference is the NFC though. I think Houston is so far from competing they will take the best offer.

Some of this would depend on what Houston thinks about Hurts or Jones.

If they don't like either of them - and really, why would they like Jones? - then it would come down to picks and Watson's preference. After all, he has a "no trade" clause.

It might also come down to how the new coaching staff / regime in Texas thinks they should build their team. If they think that the best way to build their team is by building the o and d lines, then washington would be in good shape.

To me, Philly might be the NFC team that could field the most competitive offer when compared to what Washington could send to Houston.

But really, who in their right mind wants to play in Philly? Yeesh.:D:pound::trash:

Good point on Miami, but I think that the Bengals have reset the bar on rebuilds to the point where we're not going to see a lot of owners willing to go beyond 3, and certainly not 4, or 5 years deep into making their teams relevant.

Pleading the 5th is a constitutional provision and shouldn’t look bad on him .

A grand jury indictment is easily obtained .

However that means if he is indicted he wont be “ clear “

We know the double standards when it comes to indictments and depending on PPOV how it’s reported

All of this could have been avoided if professionalism had been exercised and some self awareness and foresight.

A leader of men has to know this

You can rule Watson out sounds like they are going to file criminal charges

Deshaun Watson's criminal sexual misconduct case will be presented to a grand jury on Friday.

Ten women filed criminal complaints against Watson, and three allege sexual assault or attempted sexual assault. It is unclear how many the Houston DA plans to present to the grand jury, but legal scholars seem to believe the proceeding will be more likely than not to result in criminal charges. Then, either a trial or plea agreement will follow. It is an ominous legal development for the 26-year-old. Despite now a year-plus of endless trade chatter, Watson's NFL saga is no closer to resolution than it was in 2021. His legal saga could be just beginning.

This is easy...
There are two parties involved in such a trade on his side, they are Watson and Houston.

Watson might be willing or wanting to go to any of the listed teams over D.C. however Houston will want maximum return for the player and in that respect, ONLY Washington can offer the more promising mix of draft picks and players. He wants out, Houston wants a maximum return, seems a fairly easy reason to waive the no-trade clause in favor of Washington.

If Watson has a no-trade clause, he can pick his destination. So, if he doesn’t want to go to Carolina, Washington can offer less than Carolina.

How does Seattle sound for Watson? They now have the ability to trade for him.
