See a few posts above. Think one of guards ended up at Georgetown. But that team was scary. Like you’re gonna get mugged and beat by 30 scary

I just did a google search for top 10 high school teams ever and surprised that Finley team wasn’t on it.

They were definitely better than a few that made the list I found.

That Dunbar team though:

Muggsy, Reggie Lewis, Reggie Williams, David Wingate and like 5 high level college players who were role guys.

And the best Oak Hill team was insane too:

Stackhouse, Jeff Mcginnis, Mark Blount, Mahhtar Ndiaye, Curtis Staples +++

I loved that Stackhouse McGinnis and Sheed UNC team. One of Dean Smith’s last teams

Played organized basketball in rec leagues from age 5 or 6 until 18. Along the was way a starter for my middle school team who lost in the city championship. Made JV basketball, but couldn't crack varsity. I made it as an alternate/taxi squad for the Varsity my senior year, but never got to play. Played in other rec leagues until I was about 26 or so, but quit shortly after that.

I coached HS age kids in a rec league for a few years. Wasn't a great coach though, and my teams probably didn't do as well as their potential may have shown.

At our HS (and Middle School) there was always a bunch of courts, but only one was designated the top run where the best players played. I was a regular in that game, which is probably my most proud accomplishment to be honest.

These boys were ice cold man. I’m not racist by any means, but these dudes were street ballers and just straight nasty.

I wish I had the balance to surf, it seems like it's not just a sport but a religion, good for the body and the soul.

Started playing pickup games during High School and continued until my early 30's when I blew out my knee, since then I only shoot around at the gym.

Played up until my senior year in high school. Our program sucked, and I was tired of losing

I got recruited to play some D3 ball, but I was better at baseball.

My favorite story is how a college football coach saw me play basketball and recruited him to play football based on how I played hoops...

I was the Akeem Olajuwan , before he added th "H" in all my nerf basketball games against my shorter brother.I seriously would have like 35 blocks a game. I dominated.

I played through high school then spent a lot of time playing pick up when I was at OU. I was there with Brent Price and actually played a few pick up games with him. I did my best to guard him and he let me get a shot off one day and it somehow went in. That kind of dropped the mic on my playing days lol.

Played varsity my sophomore, junior and senior seasons. Started junior and senior year. Could have played D3, but wanted to focus on track and field instead after high school. Haven't played organized basketball in probably 10 years or so.

Yes.

He played for the Celtics.

But he's a Lakers fan.
