After months of trying to guess what was going on with Wolfe he has finally spoke to the media and cleared up what was wrong. Essentially he played most of the season injured and didn't quite know it. The hit he took in the Seattle Preseason game that all of us thought for sure he would have missed the season and his career was in jeopardy was not all that far off.

Pretty much what ended up happening was that hit caused him to bruise his spinal cord. This then caused him to not be able to send signals through his spinal cord to the other parts of his body. Because he kept playing and practicing he never gave that bruise a chance to heal meaning it just kept getting worse and worse until he fully collapsed and had to be put into a coma.

So now that they finally figured it out all he needs is some rest to let the bruise heal up and he should be good to go. Doctors have assured him he should be fully healthy very soon and able to go full speed. So Wolfe is coming back!

That is wonderful news. He just needs to take it easy and rest up.

From what I understand this whole thing caused him to lose about 40 lbs over this past season. Now that it has finally healed back up and he has been able to get back in the weight room he has put back on 20 lbs. of muscle and thinks by the time the season roles around he should be back up to his original weight but be stronger and faster. Hopefully that is true.

Pretty sure I posted awhile back that it was spinal injury and he suffered seisures. That was why we`ve had discussion weeks ago about whether we would be able to count on Wolfe as even playing football for Denver this season thus making DE position even more important in FA/Draft. Extremely glad to hear his prognosis is looking very good.

It's good to just get some clarity on the situation, and know that he's on the road to a full recovery.
