Not sure why they want to keep changing rules now. It has always been in place and NOW it is not fair? Fans need to quit whining. Shit happens. I understand he was trying to make a play but if you know you can't get there then go out at the 1 yard line. I could see if time ran out and he had to score, but that wasn't the case. He knows the rule, everyone knows the rule.

If they change this then there will be more one handed diving with the ball loose at the endzone. Just make sure that you flip it towards the sideline and there is zero risk. Either it goes out at the 1 inch line or you get a TD. HOORAY, more tilting of the field against the defense.
