The only MCU product this year, and this may be one of the best MCU years in a while.

Even though MCU owns the rights to Deadpool we have to give credit to Fox for making this product back in 2016. If it was up to Disney they would have made Deadpool really cheesy

Going Saturday the 27th with my kids.
Funny enough, I'm going Saturday the 27th when my mother in law is watching the kids.

Non-spoiler review:

This is good fun. I don't think its as strong as the first two movies but its not bad by any means. However, it is a pretty meta movie so if you don't know about some the old pre-MCU movies, you might not get the full enjoyment out of it. I'm not trying to spoil it here but when you see it, you'll get it. Felt like they also went out of their way to make it a point Disney was ok with the R rated stuff because they definitely drop tons of F bombs and tons of gratuitous violence. Maybe a little too much because they could have subbed some of it out for a story with a bit more depth. It's still enjoyable though. I'd say its a solid B, 86 out 100 type of deal.

I haven’t seen the Eric Bana Hulk movie or any of the 90’s F4 or Captain America b-movies, but outside of those, I think I am coming in with a full library in my back pocket. I don’t know yet exactly when I will see it. But I assume it will be next weekend at the latest.

Nah, none of those. Without getting too far into spoilers, think movies from the early 00s. Won't get too far into spoilers but some of them already leaked

Just got home from watching the movie in 3d. Lots of jokes had me laughing throughout. You have to sit through the credits until the end, hint, hint.
Any reason to bother with 3D? On the surface, this doesn’t seem like a 3D movie to me.

I'm on the fence about this movie in 3d. It provided depth within the picture (which was nice) but nothing projected off the screen towards the audience. I think there was a missed oppurtunity there.

There is a youtuber named crowbcat that does a 12 minute video about halo showing how talented and inspired the people behind it used to be. Halo was maybe the best gaming franchise for awhile and then the wrong people got ahold of the ip and now it's worthless.

Deadpool 3 is that video for marvel. Maybe the geekiest movie I've ever seen outside of Infinity Wars.

My initial read on the trilogy is 2 > 3 >1 but they're all good. Which is rare.

I think a major theme behind the trilogy itself is that the story wasn't really all that important. In the earlier movies there was a lot of banter about Deadpool wanting to be a hero. Or an Xmen. Now an Avenger. Deadpool literally jokes that the world destroyer in D3 was a MacGuffin. Its a comedy at its core. There is one season where Logan and X23 sit down and have a conversation about whether or not Logan could go on and the whole vibe of the movie is different for one scene. They do show you that, yes, they could have made a great, serious movie with all of the actors. Instead they had 100 Deadpool clones to make fun of how dumb the multiverse is. Worth it.

I will say that the Cassandra Nova and X23 are probably two of the coolest female characters that have been created in the Marvel universe. Hugh Jackman is also incredible. Ryan Reynolds was born to be Deadpool but Jackman seems like he could do anything. Get this man in more Nolan movies or something.

I’ll have to go back and watch Deadpool 1 again but I liked this one more than 2.

I absolutely loved this movie to death and all of the cameos were top-notch. Some got spoiled for me beforehand but I was shocked as hell to see “the card guy” but I enjoyed the hell out of that.

Also I think the biggest factor in how the MCU has realized their previous faults is when a certain actor appeared in the void Deadpool thought it was gonna be one character but it was actually the character he played before. If this was a regular MCU film they would’ve brought back you know who because “isn’t it cool to see him play CA again” but this movie went the fake out route and it was for the best.

I’m avoiding the most recent trailer. They tend to give away too much.
I just watched the final trailer right now (I saw the movie tonight)…

It gave away WAY too much.

Just saw it tonight. All 3 movies in this “franchise” have been bangers. I would probably rank them in release order, though, even though I don’t really see a drop in quality from one to the next.

Some random thoughts on this one. Because the movie has not been out a week yet, I will spoiler these bullet points…

- Too much was spoiled by even the early trailers. I avoided the last couple, but the 20th Century Fox logo was spoiled over a year ago, and that ruined that spot in the movie for me.

- I wasn’t expecting Wesley Snipes! And they acknowledged the heat between him and Reynolds. Well done!

- Be honest…. Who called out Mathew McConaughy’s voice the second you heard it? I was not spoiled that he was in this, but I called it out immediately!

- Was that Megan Fox at the computer terminal in the TVA when Paradox was recruiting DP?

- Why Channing Tatum instead of Tyler Kitsch?

- I got two words for you… Leg-chucks!

- The huge Deadpool fight was actually pretty dumb. I could have done without that.

For #5, just google it.

There was even a picture of that actor with Reynolds back in the day and they recreated that photo for this movie.
