@Draft Crazy Just a quick heads up. You misspelled Budda Baker's name in the draft pick thread. Just didn't want anybody to try and do a search only to not find it thinking he is still available.

I'm not out of the roof on Watson, but I think to get him in early round 2 for a division rival is a bummer. I like him, don't LOVE him.

Good point. Yeah none of the QB's in this draft are guys who I really love like I did with Paxton last year. I like parts of their game. I like the leadership qualities and big play ability of Watson. It is mostly just the decision making that he has shown for the last couple of years that will only be made worse in the NFL. To me shows an inability to read a defense (which is common among QB's) but at least a lot of others have shown they know when that 1st read is covered to take off running instead of throwing into double coverage.

Yeah I wouldn't take him for every team at this point, but I think he's a good fit with a team that has an entrenched starter to give him time to work on what he needs to work on, and I think he'll fit what Lynn wants to do offensively and Whiz did pretty well with Mariota who had some similar concerns about accuracy and decision making coming out.

I guess I wasn't one that worried about the decision making with Mariota. Big difference between 4 interceptions a season compared to 17 for a college QB. I worried more how long it would take him to adjust to playing in a more NFL style offense, injury probability, and the fact that he many times left the pocket a little too early than need be.

Sure it was different with Mariota in that it was more in the sense of "could he do it" as opposed to "why the hell did he do that?" lol

Good point. Just for me personally I felt much more comfortable with the idea of Mariota coming into the league than Watson. And honestly I wasn't always the highest on Mariota either. My biggest worry of his size/play style leading to injuries seems to be happening.

Watson has a bit thicker build so not as worried about his holding up but I don't think he has the football intelligence of Mariota either causing him to throw a bunch of picks or take off running more often leading to more hits.

Nice little run on pass rushers. Still a guy on the board that surprises me a little at this point. Wonder how far he falls.

Wow. Mixon to the top half of the 2nd round. I wonder how high he'll actually go. The talent is undeniable, but what about the headache for the PR hit that's inevitably coming? I'm very curious to see which team takes him in real life.

Supposedly their owner is one that has taken the hard stance against any kind of assault or domestic violence incident. Seems like at one point said he wouldn't stand for that being on his team.

1st round talent. He's been punished. Really can't see him lasting that long. On the field is my priority.

You have to do what is right off the field to be on the field.

On the field is the priority but so is the money you throw at people to stay on the field.

That being said... I'm not that surprised at Mixon early in round 2.

Seattle has shown a willingness take take a little bit of risk in this area, but they are good at RB.

I think Kansas City might be in play as well. They took a chance last year and it payed off big time. They'll have an easier time selling it to their fans than some other teams because of that.

I'd doubt the Patriots. Kraft has been very vocal about guys who have actions like this in their past. Regardless of if it is domestic violence or not, he hit a girl. Plus, with the new subpoenas in the Hernandez case, they don't need any bad PR.

There was a report the other day Mixon is off the Pats board, fwiw.

Not sure I buy it entirely....despite the way the media has portrayed their stance ever since Mira froked out about Christian Peter, they've actually had a bunch of guys with DV issues play for them under RKK's ownership, just none that got caught on video. But I do agree they've definitely treaded more lightly around guys with off-field issues in general since the AH stuff hit the fan.

Yeah I don't see Mixon to NE... Denver has shown a lot of interest in him as have the Bengals and Packers.

KC is not typically a team that takes many off field guys. but it worked out for them 2 year ago (Peters) and it worked out for them last year (for now anyway)

I wouldn't be surprised to see Cunningham go to the Colts (or somewhere in that area) in the first round. Great pick in the 2nd.
