I gave up trying to find the picture of Butkus tackling 3 packers because one of them had the ball.

For some reason (that there is completely nothing wrong with) me disliking the male stripper movie was because I used Magic Mike to describe Singletary. I dont know how he got there, or thru those blocks, but he made that tackle.

It is a great injustice in the NFL that Mike has never coached for our bears.

Im taking it its this one:

I almost posted that pic,but loved the way he stared down the GB qb fromabove..........and I often thought why Mike never became our HC........

he had that breakdown at a media session, but didnt JimHarbaugh drop his khakis and still get to be a coach?

Linebacker coach, to Defensive coordinator to one of those made up quality control titles would be enough to start, but then have an in house answer. But I guess this NFL, you dont hire your replacement for your staff.

I just hope we dont see Edwards running away from the line of scrimmage as much this year. Seems like he was playing third safety too much to cover for Eddie Jackson last year. If we can get this guy running to the ball carriers with Edwards and Sanborn they are going to force teams to throw the ball.

Doug Plank........drafted out of Ohio State in the 12th round......Plank was a favorite of Bears defensive coordinator Buddy Ryan for his hard hitting and aggressive style, so that he named his defense the "46 defense" after Plank's jersey number.
Plank was one of the hardest hitting safeties in the game.......
Doug along with anothe db were nicknamed "The Hitmen," for their style of play......fierce.

Preemptive Eddie Jackson post.

George Gulyanics, HB/P (1947-52): Another number devoid of talent leads us to this gentleman. He had 2,081 career rushing yards and an even 600 receiving yards and 21 career TDs (19 rushing, 2 receiving). He added a career 44.5 yard career punt average, good for 11th all-time in NFL history.

Honorable mention to one of my favorites, Robin Earl. Big bruising 245 pound fullback, too big for the position, he was moved to TE and chose 81 per league rules. What he and Walter could have done.
