Brown has a .558 OPS. He is killing our lineup. Give Ruf one final chance to start.

I wish somebody would establish some consistency so we don't get this platooning every five minutes which appears to be killing our offense. I think?

Ruff will never be an every day player for the Phillies. Amaro does not like him. I think Amaro rules over Sandberg. During Rufs recent call up Amaro said that he was just a 3 day fix. Last year Ruf was projected to hit 35 home runs if he played a full season. Ruf has a respectable on base percentage as well. I think they should trade him for a middle reliever and let him move on. Ruf deserves a chance to play full time for a team that will use him.

Brown is DTD with back spasms. Look for Ruf to get some playing time.

Either believe in Ruf and play him full time or trade the guy so his career doesn't get trashed by that lunatic in the FO.

I'd like to see Ruf do some damage. The problem is he K's 1/3 of the time and is bad in the clutch. His 3-yr RISP is .162. Last year it was .150. How do you figure out a platoon when he hits LHP .224 and RHP at .271. But Brown is so bad right now, he'll get his chance.

I think the Sandberg should employ total platooning

Rotate the positions every game. Even the pitchers so everyone on team gets a chance to play 1st, 2nd, etc. and even pitch.

Heck in fact Sandberg should throw all of the Phillies names in a hat and include the fans in on it too. Have a lottery - the fan who picks the correct starting pitcher for that specific game gets to throw out the first pitch.

And maybe for an added bonus have a monthly drawing of all of the winners and whoever wins that gets to sit in the owner's box 1 game with Amaro and gets to squirt mustard on him.

LOL! But there is one big flaw. Reveres fastball might not reach 50 mph!

The first three spots, revere, rollins and utley are fine. it's 4 and 6 where there's no production. I'm for moving byrd to 4th, ruiz 5th, howard 6th, asche 7th, brown 8th (or something like that with ruf also in the mix). I'd prefer to see 2 right handed hitters in a row following utley instead of the howard-byrd-brown disaster we have now..

Yea that makes sense too jvett and maybe if Sandberg rearranges Byrd to fourth and Howard at six as you stated, that would foster consistency by removing the obvious holes in production.

That is difficult to say Number One. I just don't get some of the happenings with this club on a daily basis.
