The man was unwilling to change his staff to address a putrid offense.

It will take 3, hopefully, recruiting cycles to bring in kids that can run a more dynamic offense. A lot will depend on who they replace him with.

Be that as it may, why today of all days? Why not earlier??

Regardless, his teams out-preformed expectations. This is good news for the Wolverines, but bad news for college football. I wish him well in future endeavours!!!

What a terrible time for a coaching search though. Most of the staffs have been set, moves have been made. Really awful to be looking for a coach right now. And who's going to want to take over the program in the state that it is, with now potential NCAA problems looming?

It may coincide with the NFL season being over. I doubt he gets forced out without some kind of plan already in place. The MSU class was already signed so no mass departures of recruits.

This does scream for a change in transfer policies.

It's still a P5 school in a premier conference with recent history of success. I'm not saying they're gonna pull in an elite level coach, but I'm sure there will be plenty of interested candidates from the G5 ranks.
