These guys look great tonight. Hopefully they keep it up for another 32 minutes and completely destroy the Caps. Maybe this will finally get them going, looks like they are finally getting some chemistry going and Tedneby has really given Elias/Arnie a spark.

I think its more the Caps goalie not being too good

Come on, they have looked very good. Creating great chances, playing smart and finally looking like they are starting to gel offensively. Hell, they played a very good game Saturday, but a bad luck bounce and BS no whistle cost them at lest 1 point there.

That was more of my point kinda, we played this well Saturday and times before this season but still got beat.

Team really did nothing much different tonight besides burying chances. I know they haven't played good thus far this season, but a majority of losses have come from horribly timed mistakes, bad judgements on odd man opportunities, and bad luck. Great to see a win against the Caps.

Oh and will add inconsistent defensive play especially in the 2nd period.

Definitely a good all around win and a game I was finally able to watch (albeit on the internet). That said, we need to put some wins in a row now and build off of this. I will scream if this team comes out flat next game.

Anyone who watched the St. Louis game would admit that we played well enough to win, but that's not how the season has done so far.

great win! but lets be realistic here i will believe in the 5-0 score more if they can win on wed! we are talking about a goalie that gave up 10 goals in the last two games here

Agreed. They need to string some damn wins together, NOW. Calgary has two wins in it's last 11 games. Worse than even us. They need to continue this.

Glad most of us agree. I mean i'm happy we beat the caps like we did but glad everyone hasn't gotten carried away cos i think now we know that just because we win it doesn't mean the seasons on a turn around, even if we win weds it isn't.

To be honest they shouldn't even be getting too much credit because this is by far the least some of us expect from them. They have hugely underachieved this year so far. As i said though its great that they won.

If they hadn't played so well in St. Louis, I would agree....victimized by a poor decision to not blow whistle and a fluke bounce, but outplayed St. Louis. They finally played back to back great 60 minute efforts. It has to start somewhere, why not here and now?? This team looks like its found some direction and chemistry with these new line combos. Defense played well both nights too. Hopefully they can keep it rolling Wednesday and start stringing something together.

They played this way for the first 37 minutes against the Blues.

Two things happened tonight. One, they didn't go into long funks of bad play. Mistakes were made, but they were isolated and guys hustled to make up for them. Two, they played with a lead. Arnott said it during one of the intermissions. "We don't have to chase now."

I still stand by saying the played this well against the Blues, it just wasnt good enough. I dont the game against the Caps would have been good enough if their goalie wasnt having a bad night.

Have you noticed, that team played well last 2 games without "C" guy - Langs. Maybe he should be the one to trade for cap space relief, which has to happen anyway and Salvy could return to line-up without any line-up manipulations.

In that case we should also get rid of Marty and Parise

Agree for Marty, but Parise. :)
For sure, team will be better with Zach and without Langs. Marty just need to play less games. He became really heavy in his moves and his compete level went down after reaching 600 wins.

i've said all season.

the thing this team needs most is back to back wins, the confidence that will come from that will be one the team doesn't question, as i'm sure they have in individual wins....

tomorrow is gigantic.
