First I dont think he will still be on the board at 17.
Second I realize we NEED to improve the D-line, ILBs and maybe even still need a safety.
Third, I realize we are a pass first team and we might even go WR.

Now that I got that out the way..... If there at 17 should we consider him??

GO!

I think we should but I think Joe mixon just might be the best RB in this class. The best vision in my opinion. I would take him regardless of the incident he had when he was 18

No...We already have a smaller version of him in CT. The better all round back in this draft is Mixon. We should get him.

Do you really think we take a dlineman at 17 if Thomas and Allen are gone?

Depends on who is still there. As for Allen.... Arthritis in the shoulders. I know you were all Viagra and Redbull over him two weeks ago. But even if he is there at 17, you cant really think we should take a kid who has a degenerative condition do you??

Completely agree. I love Cook but we have to look at what the GREATER need is.
If we stop now in FA and add no more starters then the order of importance is:

DL
ILB
RB
LG

I agree that this is a deep RB draft and Mixon would be my Rd 2 pick. Reddick my pick as well.

DT Malik McDowell has supposedly been the one most mocked to us on average

So the board consensus is

1st: Reddick or Cunningham
2nd: Best RB available (hopefully Mixon)

What positions do we target in the 3rd and 4th?

If we stop FA here....then we have to address RG, DLine and WR. I would not mind us taking another RB to be honest.

Dalvin is a wonderful football player.

Terrific vision.

Outstanding blocker.

Great hands.

Team player.

I’ve watched every game Dalvin has played, and IMO he’s Marshall Faulk 2.0, but time will tell. I believed Jamies would be a superstar NFL QB. Hell, if Winston was white he would be talked about as the next Peyton Manning.

You are nuts. We will not pass on Allen if he is there. What dlineman would you take at 17? give me some names.

Oh I dont expect Allen to be there at 17, but with a bad combine and a medical down check you are taking him knowing he is likely not a ten year player who might come with injury concerns.

As for guys I expect to be there at 17, Caleb Brantley, Taco Charlton and MAlik McDowell or Montravius Adams come to mind.

Hey guys I been a CT tech for 30 yrs. Shark degenerative condition Arthritis) is not a problem but it will be later on some 15 to 20 yrs later. It is a moderate condition. Here's the concern, Allen has had both shoulders subluxed in different years. Subluxed is partial separation. In other words the shoulder joint has some instability caused by fall or some heavy blows. Some good PT will help strengthen the muscles around the joint. He already had 2 surg on his shoulder. He 's young so he should be alright, but naturally it is a concern. Man he will have big issues when get over 50. I wonder how many games did he miss during his collegiate career. On case like this you have to depend on the staff doctor. If the dr says he's ok then we should draft him.

Dude,, i have admitted I dont expect him to be there when we draft. But the health concerns likely knock him out of top five pick consideration. I think you miss where Dean was fully on board with us dealing Kirk to take this kid at #2. BUt if he is there at 17.... I would wonder if the shoulder issues are worse than whats being reported.
