Older than dirt!!

Okay I agree with that.you missed this part where I said: agents don't get new clients when they slot a guy who's performed as good if not better than #1 & #2 overall. Next man up.
5 years from now....maybe 5 or 6 QB's will make more than the best QB in the league (Mahomes)
Dak has not outplayed Wentz or Goff since he was drafted.
Pretty much every career stat you can think of says so.If you say so?
Except playoffs and Super Bowls.Pretty much every career stat you can think of says so.

That's useful, but why aren't the Boys giving Dak a contract?Twenty-five quarterbacks have thrown at least 1,200 passes (300 attempts per year) since Prescott entered the league in 2016. Here's where he ranks among those quarterbacks, which includes just about every star passer besides Patrick Mahomes, by just about every statistic I could think of:
Where do Wentz and Goff rank? While Dak was a top 5 quarterback in 2016, Wentz and Goff were absolutely atrocious. Dak has remained steady his entire career. Absolutely absurd to think he hasn't outplayed them. The problem with Wentz and Goff fans, is they want to pretend 2016 didn't happen at all. That season drags them down heavily when comparing them to Dak. Even Dak at his worst wasn't as bad as Goff and Wentz in 16. It took Dak having not a single weapon until they traded for Amari for him to have his worst season. With Amari, his numbers skyrocketed all across the board, but a bad first half deflated his overall numbers. While everybody likes to point out how Dak was in 2017 without Zeke, people forget Dak still finished top 5 in QBR that season. Dak at his best, has been better than both Wentz and Goff at their best. He was so superior to both of them in 2019 that it's not funny yet his team finished with a worse record than both. Goes to show you how dumb football is.

Essentially, a half a season with no weapons and a season where Zeke missed six games is the only thing keeping Dak's numbers from absolutely blowing Wentz and Goff's out of the water. And I didn't even mention playoff stats. Wentz has none and Dak had more TDs in one game than Goff has in all of his playoff games.
Of course, having a playoff win and a Super Bowl appearance on your resume can only help. You really thought this was a good response when you typed it out too.
For the same reason they haven't made a NFC Championship since 1995. They don't know what they are doing. That's useful, but why aren't the Boys giving Dak a contract?
Not when you only put up 3 points in the SB, need an egregious penalty call in your favor just to make the SB, or need near 300 yards rushing in your only legitimate playoff win.Of course, having a playoff win and a Super Bowl appearance on your resume can only help.
oh. Team stats. not QB stats. well that is one way to measure QBs.Except playoffs and Super Bowls.
Actually you made a good point, fire Garrett and sign Dak to a new contract and go from there.oh. Team stats. not QB stats. well that is one way to measure QBs.
Then again while the eagles & Rams has have had top ten coaching Wentz & Goff's entire career. Dak has endured Garrett (safe to say not a top ten Coach) his entire career. yet still looks better as a QB.
Did the Rams get to a Super Bowl under Goff and didn't the Rams beat the Boys on their way to the Super Bowl? Not when you only put up 3 points in the SB, need an egregious penalty call in your favor just to make the SB, or need near 300 yards rushing in your only legitimate playoff win.
OK, how about in the last 25 years then? I figured under the context we were talking about that it was obvious I was talking about Jerry. But sure, Danny White, Craig Morton, etc, have had some good ones but kind of irrelevant. Dalton is a 32 year old solid starter. How many of those have we had in the last 25 years?maybe you shouldnt use the word ever.
Dallas has had a lot of quality back ups in their history.
At the point we signed those 3, Dalton is far better, but ok, even if. Does this feel like that? Aikman was a HOF and I don't ever remember Jerry having trouble ponying up the money to keep him. Romo rolled along with caddies and Dak has had Cooper Rush...till now. Not a coincidence.Beuerlein

I'm giving my opinion too and based on the track record of the jones boys, I'm sure you're right. Jerry hasn't been able to get outta his own way for now 25 years. Isn't it funny, when Dallas wins and has a playoff team, it's the talent of the team but when they lose and miss the playoffs, it Dak. I've been a TCU fan for a long time....hope your NFL assessment of Dalton is more accurate than mine when he plays in big gamesAt the point we signed those 3, Dalton is far better, but ok, even if. I'm just giving my opinion, you may be right, but I think he is here one more year unless they make the NFCCG. If the Cowboys go 8-8 or 9-7 and miss the playoffs I think he is gone after this season. Jerry went out and said a deal would be done in "days" back in September of last year and just let the deadline pass for signing him long-term. He's not gonna come back to the table when the time comes and say, know what, I'll up it to $40 million per or cut the length to 4 years after all without a serious playoff run. Wait and see
Dalton isn't as good as Dak but he is similar in one aspect. He needs talent. I don't know if he ever has the talent around him that Dak has here, but when he has had a good cast, he has been good. Dak really took off after Cooper arrived, but has usually struggled when a star is hurt, be it Coop or TSmith...I just look at what has happened since the Rams broke the bank on Goff and I think I would draw a line in the sand as well. Man, 5/$175 with $100 Guaranteed isn't a low ball IMOI'm giving my opinion too and based on the track record of the jones boys, I'm sure you're right.
