I kind of like this idea myself.

I am just now seeing that the Blue Jays and Mets will play a few exhibition games next year in old Olympic Stadium in Montreal. I like this idea, if it is just trying to let more Canadians see baseball, and, not in hopes or attempts to bring another team there anytime soon.

I could see giving it to Tuck in the first Pats SB. Had a couple of sacks and was getting pressure on Brady all day. Tyree should have also gotten consideration. Made one of the most talked about catches in SB history, and caught a TD as well.

And not for nothing, all Eli did was throw 2 4th Quarter TDs to beat the unbeatable Pats. I can see why he was selected as well.

what kills me about that game (ok, one of many) is that Brady gets no credit for his late fourth quarter drive to take the lead in that game......after doing basically nothing all game...........they just left too much time on the clock

if they had another minute or so after.....

Roses are REd
Violets are Blue
Plaxico in the endzone
Hobbs at the 2

....Who knows what happens. Moss almost had that bomb Brady threw at the end......another foot or two of speed or less arm

Damn

My point is, Brady put the Pats in a position to win that game late in the fourth with a TD pass to Moss but Eli one upped him.........Brady was clutch when he had to be in that game.........just left too much time on the clock

as for SB2 with them, soon as manningham makes that catch.......i knew how that game would end

My grandmother used to live 3 blocks from the stadium there. Although I was never able to catch a game they were always out of town when we went up to visit.

OOPS -

A year after winning the World Series, the San Francisco Giants are mired in last place in the National League West.
Unless the Giants can move ahead of the San Diego Padres and/or Colorado Rockies during the last three weeks of the season, they will be making the sort of history they'd just as soon avoid.

Only once in baseball history has a team gone from World Series champs one year to last place the next. The Florida Marlins took the 1997 Fall Classic, then plummeted to 54-108 in 1998 following a fire sale in which they unloaded key players like Moises Alou, Kevin Brown, Bobby Bonilla, Gary Sheffield and Charles Johnson.

The Giants have no such excuse. The core of the team, including NL MVP Buster Posey, ace Matt Cain and World Series MVP Pablo Sandoval, was back this season and most experts expected them to make the postseason again.

It hasn't worked out that way. So what went wrong?
In 2012, the Giants scored 718 runs, good for sixth in the league. This year, they are mired near the bottom with a group that includes the Philadelphia Phillies and Padres, with only the Miami Marlins being substantially worse. Posey has been solid but not as dominating as he was in 2012, and the teams has missed the production Melky Cabrera provided before his season ended in a 50-game suspension.

But the difference in pitching has been even more stark. Last season, San Francisco was fifth in the NL with a 3.68 ERA and was among the league leaders in complete games, shutouts and hits/nine innings. This year, the team has the fourth worst ERA in the Senior Circuit and is among the leaders in walks allowed.

Cain has gone from a 2.79 ERA to 4.37; and his other stats are worse across the board as well. After a decent 2012, Barry Zito has been awful. Ryan Vogelsong missed a big chunk of the season with a broken hand and has seen his ERA balloon from 3.37 to 5.62.

Cain, Vogelsong, Sandoval, Jeremy Affeldt and Marco Scutaro all have battle injuries.
Add it all up and the Giants have gone from a plus-72 to a minus-77 run differential. That's the difference between first place and last place — and the reasons the Giants soon could be in the record books.

Wouldn't this put a big pretty bow on his fall from grace?

Tim Tebow and KISS, a match made in ... well, feel free to fill in the blank on that one.
But the members of the legendary rock group, now owners of the Arena Football League's expansion franchise in Anaheim, Calif. — LA KISS — officially extended a contract offer to the unemployed quarterback Monday.
The deal would be for three years and could be worth unspecified "millions." Tebow is the first player LA KISS has targeted.
"Acquiring Tebow would not only be a great investment for the team, but his exciting style of play would definitely send shockwaves through the League," said KISS bassist Gene Simmons, a.k.a. The Demon, in a press release.
"We're excited for the opportunity to see him with an LA KISS uniform on, and for the LA KISS fans to be rockin' their Tebow shirts and jerseys."

Awesome...so is it the Mets or Jays that MLB is planning to move to Montreal?

I didn't like him this year from a fantasy perspective but I think I am going to be proven wrong very quickly on that.

I paid more for Cam in my auction draft:doh:, but it is very early still and I think cam has a big year. Hopefully the seahawks D is legit that good.

Also not sure you will find many blue jays fans in montreal. They are not very fond of each other in other sports like Hockey and Curling

You're right...makes much more sense for the Mets to move there. In fact, their names are similarly inspired. Then there would be a ready-made interleague series, too.

I'm IN!

Haha word.

Montreal Mets >>>>> Montreal Blue Jays

All they need now is to just get Jason Bay back and Justin Morneau. Heard Bay is available.

Yep, we could use a new first base coach...and we could save some money, since we're still paying him anyway.

Joey Votto.

I won't go into the why I am a Sox fan again, but as a Mets fan growing up, I want them to stay.

Also - they will be a better team than the Yankees over the next 5 or so years.

He tore the packers to shreds without running at all really. All from the Pocket. That's what makes him so dangerous. He doesn't need to be mobile to be great. His Mobility just adds to it...
