I don't care what people say about what James Shields brought to KC this season. The Royals will regret trading Wil Myers for him for the next 10 years or so.
Shields will finish up his contract next season with KC and then move on the "greener" pastures. Maybe sooner, if the Royals are out of it and can grab a prospect in return in a trade at next year's trade deadline.
Worse yet, the Royals give "Big Game James" an vastly overpaid multi year contract extension.
That sounds about right for the Royals. Make one mistake worse by making another.
