Yankees end the season with three games in Houston

Can't believe it's looking like those games are going to matter. If you told me that a week ago, I would have told you you were nuts.

Playoff odds up to 23%

Gardner going out with the oblique is a huge blow, however.

At least we've got games that mean something. I'll take it.

calvin johnson is wasted in detroit. larry fitzgerald is a waste in arizona.

someone should be interested in the patriots!

Calvin Johnson signed a 7 yr 132 million contract with Det., he's not goin anywhere.

I dont think the Falcons will resign Roddy White after the 2014 season, good chance you'll see him as a FA

Where's Heatwave?

Blue Jays will assume longest playoff drought in major North American pro sports if Pirates and Royals both reach postseason

What about the Browns? Have they qualified since the days of Bernie Kosar?

I guess it's kind of fuzzy, as that franchise plays in Baltimore now.

I don't care what people say about what James Shields brought to KC this season. The Royals will regret trading Wil Myers for him for the next 10 years or so.

Shields will finish up his contract next season with KC and then move on the "greener" pastures. Maybe sooner, if the Royals are out of it and can grab a prospect in return in a trade at next year's trade deadline.

Worse yet, the Royals give "Big Game James" an vastly overpaid multi year contract extension.

That sounds about right for the Royals. Make one mistake worse by making another.

If the Phillies didn't win in 2008, I think you could nominate Philly as the biggest loser city. Sixers haven't won in over 30 years; the Flyers 40 years, and Eagles never.

Cleveland has to be right up there. Sorry, Capt.O

You must not be very familiar with Red Sox history.

They went 86 years without winning a World Series before winning one in the very memorable 2004.

86 is more than 3 times 28. Pardon my stating what should be obvious from what I said earlier.

When the Ace of your pitching rotation is Bruce Chen, and had one failed pitching prospect after another come and go...you get desperate. I thought the Myers trade for Davis and Shields wasn't bad. If KC doesn't make that trade, they are probably 10 games under .500 looking to replace their head coach yet again
