Sorry. I thought the Rangers might hold onto the other wild card until seeing their schedule. They will choke it like last season.

I now think it will be the Yankees, as they get teams like Toronto, San Fran, and Houston that will lay down for them for 9 games. All bets are off if the Yanks get swept in Boston.

I think the Indians beat the Yankees in the WC "play-in" when Dave Roberts steals 2nd base in the 9th inning off Mariano to lead to the tying run. Ha.

Then... Francona sends Jason Giambi up to pinch hit, and he delivers a game winning HR in the 13th inning.

Sox winning the division has never been in doubt. I think Cleveland takes the wild card, by virtue of the easier schedule the rest of the way, and Terry Francona. Yes...Terry Francona!

NO WAY IN BLEEP do the Yankees win the division!

The Rays do still have a real chance, but the Sinstripes' have no more than a very thin, strictly theoretical one. And the sooner that's gone the happier most non-New Yorkers will be, IMO.

ah, so you're in favor of the new rules which enables more scoring.

this was a typical game pre-brady.

I am just not used to offensive shit shows like last night

early in Brady's career, it was the defense that won them games and titles

since he went all elite in the years since, they win a ton of games, just not the last one of the season

I am hoping that the early signs of this defense are for real and that because the Pats don't have an established receiving corps anymore that they find a new way to generate offense, or at least a revised way

cuz that whole tight end happy, slot receiver march down the field works great in the regular season....but not so much in playoffs

They need another receiver............get Moss on the phone, he can still play

Patriots in 2 games have only scored 1 more point than what they averaged last season
