Even with Shane Ray -and Shaq Barrett - this defense is down a notch without Demarcus Ware. I'll take a healthy Ware over a healthy Peyton Manning at this point.

I completely agree with you. However, the silver lining is that Barrett and Ray are getting terrific game time experience and are getting the rookie stuff behind them this year. That could really help the Broncos in the playoffs and beyond. When Ware comes back, the defense will be that much better for it.

I like Ware but I doubt he's with us next year. We're paying him too much to only play half a season.

Ease Ware back in slowly. He is needed for the playoffs no matter where Denver plays.

As long as Ware is playing at a high Level he will be back at the money he is being paid . He earns his money and then some .

Yes, unlike some guys who want to get paid and not want to do any of the work. To fix those guys most of the money should be earned in incentives.

From what I understand they were really impressed with Ware during warm ups. He looked like his old self but they are being very highly cautious this time around so we don't see another relapse. I would say the play of Shane Ray and Shaq Barrett have made it much easier to let him get this rest and only come back when he is 100%. Heck Kubiak talked about it this past week that when they do decide to activate him they won't be giving him the reps he was playing at earlier in the year. They will ease him back in with being a situational pass rusher and hopefully then by the time the playoffs roll around be back to his regular reps.

We need to keep Sanders at all costs next year so if that means cutting Ware and freeing up $10million we have to do it. Shaq and Ray have shown they can replace his production for 1/10th the price so we don't necessarily need Ware.

Plus don't forget we have to sign to Von and Brock this off-season so we need that money we're paying Ware even more.

The Broncos should definitely take their time with Ware, we need him for the Pittsburgh and Cincinnati games, and for the playoffs.

As for next year, no way he'll be back unless it's on a serious pay cut. He'll be 34 and with his back issues an $11.66 million cap hit is way too much. It will only cost the Broncos $1.66 million against the cap to cut him, and they'll need that money to re-sign Von Miller.

Sanders is still under contract for next season; he's got one year left on his current deal.

I know but I'd rather be able to sign him to an extension next season with the money we saved by cutting Ware than wait until the off season and have him potentially test the market because we were too strapped for cash during the season.

I know he's gonna demand more than what Ware is getting but that extra 10 million can only help us.

At this point with all the players we will need to resign after this year you might as well wait on Sanders. At this time we only have 19 players under contract for 2017. Now obviously you add 2 draft classes so about 17 players to that number it helps out but good chance we have plenty of cap money not only this off season after Manning and Clady are for sure gone or back at very reduced rates but good chance we again have decent cap for 2017.

We paid Thomas and IMO the way he is playing way to damn much . I think Sanders is a fine #2 WR pay him when his contract is up . if he walks for big money I will be glad for him . He is not worth more than 6 or 7 mil a year .. We drafted a WR by then he better be damn well ready to step up our time for a new one ..

Sanders is not a big money player .
