Glad to hear that. Too bad he couldn't capitalize what was his best opportunity to establish himself in the big leagues. Considering how he's done in the past, this showing was surprising. I have to wonder if he put way too much pressure on himself.

I am sure there was self-perceived pressure. However, with the way this team is playing, we could add Tony Gwynn, Rod Carew, Barry Bonds, and Willie Mays to this lineup and they would all hit .220.

Williams Jerez was optioned to Sacramento to make room for Beede. And I didn't know this until today but the Giants put Trevor Gott on the 10 day il on the 25th and recalled Derek Rodriguez.

Mac to the Rainiers, then called up to the Mariners.

Hope he does really well.

The timing and names involved are interesting. Braden Bishop goes on the IL, which makes room for Williamson. His younger brother, meanwhile, just gets drafted by the organization that gave up on Mac.
The Mariners seem to like our castoffs - Strickland, Murphy, Gearrin, Moore and now Williamson.

Bergen is close to being activated too. He pitched a couple of rehab games with SJ and is now on the Sacto roster. It will be interesting to see who they bump off the 25 man to make room for him.
