I'm not talking about rooting for your Team no matter what and then saying you don't "mind" another one if your team is out of it.

I'm talking about actively rooting for 2 Teams at the same time in the NHL equally.

What say you?

I went with the last one because I didn't see "Jeff Sly" as an option.

I voted 'Yes" because I was a Bruins fan before the Flames came to Calgary. Once the Flames arrived in Calgary, I became a Flames fan, but I still liked and cheered for the Bruins. When the two teams play each other (rare these days), I cheer for the Flames, but I am a fan of both teams.

I do something like that since I have lived in 2 different cities and have ancestral connections to other cities.

When my adapted city's Bruins are head-to-head with the Minnesota Wild my feelings are a bit split because mymaernal grandmother grew up in Minnesota, but when they're playing different teams, or one is playing on the other's off night no problem.

I grew up an Isles fan in Southern California. I'm from SD & grew up their & in Orange County so I never was a Kings fan. When Anaheim got the Ducks I began to follow them as well. It helps that both teams are in different conferences. When they play each other I'm always cheering on the Isles.

Well your always going to have your favorite. But I guess its possible but I dont think its possible if they are in the same conf or division.

With me I am a Rangers fan and then out West there are teams I like more then others. I would like to see the Sharks win it. But I hate the Blues so they can go cupless

My two favorite teams are the Blue Jackets and whoever is playing against the Rangers.

I'm just a fan of the game and now that I live somewhere that has a team it's much easier to call myself an "uno-fan". But I'll never be just a fan of one team.

The Doobster if fine with it IF
-the teams are in different conferences
-the teams don't have a rivalry with each other
-the teams are your hometown team and the team from the town you currently live in
-if the 2 teams meet in the playoffs, you take sides, can't be a neutral observer

As long as the team you are currently cheering for is the heavy favourite to win it all, then I don't see a problem with it.

I liked the Red Wings before the Sabres were born but since then a die hard Sabres fan all the way and always will be even if I relocated.

Trust me as IPW knows living here it really test your loyalty being a Sabres and Bills fan.

Edit: I should also say whatever floats your boat if a person wants to be a fan of a couple teams that's OK as long as they don't change mid season and become a fan of a winning team, that's not being a fan that's being a bandwagon jumper.

Most people won't care. I like/follow several teams, i don't care if they're in the same division or conference or Province. But, I'm not a hard-core NHL fan, so I can understand those who latch on to one team only and who might be appalled at my casual-ness.

You can have teams you cheer for and teams you hate beyond your own - but fan is short for a fanatic.

I like the Sabres, Flames, Canucks, and Sharks a little bit. If they win I'd think 'good for them, I'm happy for their fans.' But it wouldn't be emotional. I wouldn't watch any of them in the Finals and being invested it nor on the edge of my seat. And if the rivals of the Caps win (god I hate the fucking Penguins), it's much more emotional than those other "good guy" teams in my eyes.

If you are a fan of two teams, you're really not a fan of either.

And I say that as someone who has cheered for multiple baseball teams, because at the end of the day, I'm not really a baseball "fan" at this point in my life. I'm becoming more of one as I get invested in the Nats, and forget about the Indians and the Orioles. But years ago when I mildly followed all three, I wasn't really a fan of any of them.

That's my take.
