Much props to the Cubbies.

No longer the lovable losers.

And what an amazing game.

YEP! GO CUBS! Started cheering for them after I moved and before they were any good with STACKED prospects so this one feels good.

I've never gotten so many high fives walking back home from the 1 mile to 0.5 mark from Wrigley. Cars are honking like crazy, some fireworks... pretty sure it's just a night where you need ear plugs, or plan on getting to sleep at 3-4AM. :D

They did it the way we all dream it to be, with a great young nucleus and solid, productive vets. A team that hit with power and pitched with power.

Cheers to all the Cubs fans out there. Enjoy!

I'm 77 years old. I'm originally from Winnipeg. I had relatives and friends in Waukegan, just north of Chicago. When I was fifteen years old some friends took me to see my first Major League baseball game which was between the Milwaukee Braves and Chicago Cubs at Wrigley Field. The date was July 6, 1954. Hank Aaron was a Rookie playing for the Braves and Ernie Banks was a Rookie playing for the Cubs. When I got back to Winnipeg I was able to pick up the Cubs games on WGN radio and listen to Jack Brickhouse broadcast the games. I was a Cubs fan ever since.

Here's the Box score of that game: Box Score of Game played on Tuesday, July 6, 1954 at Wrigley Field

I think Zobrist may be some type of magical baseball warlock.
