YEP! GO CUBS! Started cheering for them after I moved and before they were any good with STACKED prospects so this one feels good.
I've never gotten so many high fives walking back home from the 1 mile to 0.5 mark from Wrigley. Cars are honking like crazy, some fireworks... pretty sure it's just a night where you need ear plugs, or plan on getting to sleep at 3-4AM.
I'm 77 years old. I'm originally from Winnipeg. I had relatives and friends in Waukegan, just north of Chicago. When I was fifteen years old some friends took me to see my first Major League baseball game which was between the Milwaukee Braves and Chicago Cubs at Wrigley Field. The date was July 6, 1954. Hank Aaron was a Rookie playing for the Braves and Ernie Banks was a Rookie playing for the Cubs. When I got back to Winnipeg I was able to pick up the Cubs games on WGN radio and listen to Jack Brickhouse broadcast the games. I was a Cubs fan ever since.
